3.1 (Jan 10, 2004)
This is without a doubt, one of the best freeware programs I can think of. It's easy to use by anyone, has a small memory footprint and offers some powerful options to reducing a DVD from two layers (9gb) down to one layer (4.5gb).
7.3.0 Beta 4 (Nov 15, 2003)
For the last two years, 99% of my web browsing has been using NetCaptor. There is no doubt in my mind that it is the easiest to use and best tab implementation around.. Having said that, I have recently changed to Mozilla Firebird. I am one of those guys who loves to run many programs at the one time - and even with 1 GIG of RAM, memory runs out quickly (or the hard drive hammers thanks to virtual memory). So Mozilla's small memory foot print, open source and tab pages has recently taken my number one spot for web browsers. I looked at Avant (clumsy), MyIE2 (almost as good as Netcaptor) and any other browser listed in user comments. However, the Internet Explorer engine is bloated - and not as stable as I would like. The only decent alternative broweser engine to Internet Explorer is Mozilla.

I am not a fan of bloat - nor do I like counter-productive user interfaces. My recommendation is Media Player Classic. It's under a megabyte, can be used with mouse and keyboard - intuitively - (ie. in a standard manner to 99% of other windows applications) and comes bundled with just about every other codec you can imagine. If you want a pretty interface - then stick with Microsoft Media Player.
6.2.0.110 (Oct 30, 2003)
This program hasn't worked well since version 3 of Adaptec Easy Cd Creator... I left this product a long time ago for Nero... Sigh, Nero's becoming too big and their product is looking to go the way of Adaptec/Roxio....
6.0 (Sep 3, 2003)
I'm sorry to slam this product. Eudora 3.1 was one of my faviourite email clients. All I can say is "FoxMail". If you want *non bloat, *ad-free, *easy to use interface, *stylish product ... then head away from Eudora. FoxMail is the best email client for people who liked the simplicity/elegance and speed of the old Eudora... And for those that want to integrate SMS seamlessly into their email client...
