   As a Vista user, I imagine your secpol.msc method would work, but I used a slightly different approach. Navigate to the Avira program directory (”C:\Program Files\AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic”, in my case), right-click on avnotify.exe, and go to Properties. Go to the Security tab in the window that appears, and hit “Edit…”. In the Permissions window, go through all the users and click “Deny” by “Read & execute”. Then hit OK as many times as necessary and you should be ad-free!

   That is a good idea InfoDave, use the ipad as a connection to a new type of home server each one can do what ever it want without having to carry all the load in the tablet

   The problem with all this is NASA lack of innovation for the future, they just took a nap to long believing the shuttle will last for ever, dreaming that the shuttle will take them to mars and beyond. The never plan anything or a substitute. Then because of pressure by public congress and industry they scramble to fiend something to do and they got this idea to go to the moon, and what they came up is no new idea just the same, put Snoopy in a bigger rocket and send it to the moon and collect rock. If you look at it it is the same. They bring this illusion of having a space station in the moon but were are the plan to build this base station, they believe that using snoopy will build a lunar station how many flight will need snoopy to build one.
   Maybe the idea is good for dreamers but the fact is that the current NASA have become to political and less Science, it sad to say but it is better that the private industry will take us to the future.
