i get basically the same issue as flib trying to install... bummer.

I cannot speak for the Quality of the app itself mainly because I have not been able to get it to work with my MSI TV@nywhere card. it does however work with my ATI AIW 9800 Pro with no problem at all and does have some great features that are not available in the ATI or MSI media center soft wares.
Another distressing thing is that both the
ChrisTV PVR lite and Chris TV online free installers appear to be infected with adware, both downloaded from their site in the last 24 hours.
it tries to install "Relevant Knowledge" Ad-ware.... Ad-Aware caught it and the Chris TV software installed as expected and runs just fine.
Im giving a 3/5 only because the installed has ad-ware in it..
Excellent app packed with features, just make sure you have ad aware running before you install, Avast did not catch the Ad-ware's attempt to install...

Jeez people...
I mean some one adds the functionality to an applications so that it can make automating mailing lists and email alot easier and suddenly its the applications fault... Ok whatever...
Ok, get this.
If I write a program that formats your harddrive and I write it in C++ or I write it in Perl or what ever!? And I mail it to you, and you are stupid enough to run it not knowing what it is, and all the sudden you dont have a C: drive.
Who's fault?
1) The Operating System? (For letting the program do what it was designed to do?)
2) The programming language? (For letting me write malicious code?)
3) The makers of either software? For designing software what will allow me to make applications that I can find out there on the internet or on store shelves?
If you answered with any of the above... BZZZZZZZZZZT, WRONG...
1) For one, the person who wrote it is obviously a good bit to blame for writting and distributing something that is obviously destructive.
2) YOU, for clicking on, and or opening something that you dont know what it is! How many of you actually just open up and application that some one sends to you in mail, or ICQ's to you or what ever. And you dont know what that application is? If you do... Well I think you hevent been working with computers long enough and prolly need to take a much longer look at why you do use a computer and what you need to learn before you sit down again to read your mail.

Please note the comment about this being for MSN users only is pretty correct... I *USED* to work for thier tech support and let me point out that its very true as many of you might know that ALOT of people out there using the internet are NOT ready for a full blown computer, mainly what alot of these people need is an InterNet device (IE - IOpener).
If MS does the right thing here and makes a stable, simplified user interface that makes ones computer act like an Internet device, this will help those people out in a great way, however those more experienced users who just want an internet connection can and prolly already know how to just set up a Dial UpNetworking connection and connect like that...
Also I would not worry about MS taking over the portal market because of MSN. MSN is just about the most propiatary internet server short of AOL, the mail authentication is COMPLETELY propiatary and will NOT work with any other client other that the Outlook varreties... Soooo, I dont think that any one has any thing to wory about here...
