  1. Review - Free File Camouflage

    0.3 (Nov 15, 2011)

Much easier than using copy /b to put a zip file onto the
end of, say, a jpeg, and opening the resulting jpeg with a
    zip engine.

Here, it would be useful for me to be aware of a file type
that has raw data that looks like the raw data of the
appended file. That is: I viewed my test jpeg as text and
could see where it went from jpeg encoding to what this
    program is hiding.

BTW, so far as I can tell from five minutes
of play this program won't do auto installs, and so is just
    a way of hiding data.

  2. Review - Microsoft Joulemeter

    1.2 (Sep 28, 2011)

Wait, what? Win7 required? Does it say that on the DL page?
    Yes, it does. Bleah.

  3. Review - WhatInStartup

    1.33 (Aug 11, 2011)

Compared to what Winpatrol/Scotty shows this one
misses items in delayload, notify and task scheduler,
and as I'd expect Doesn't show items I've told Scotty
to start up after a few minutes.

  4. Review - Opensource-DVD

    2.0 (Apr 8, 2011)

Oh, I see, it's a DVD of open source programs,
    more than 100 of them.
    Cool.

  5. Review - WinPatrol

    19.0.2010.0 Beta (Sep 23, 2010)

Excellent little program that monitors for changes to start up programs,
some file associations, homepage, more with no noticeable CPU load.
Manages browser cookies-let's some be set for automatic removal.
Manages start up programs, allow some to be put on a delayed start.
    Monitors active x objects....
Pretty much looks at everything a malicious program/website needs
to change to muck with your computer.

  6. Comment - Why is Amazon supporting a proposed federal sales tax law?

    19.0.2010.0 Beta (Aug 7, 2011 - 8:18 PM)

    >Shipping fees do not pay for ....

Just to be as much of a fine person as I was
    in my "Aug 6, 2011 - 9:49 PM" post?
    They do so! ;p
Out of state sellers bring local jobs (delivery)
and so improve the tax base via increased fuel
use by delivery companies and income taxes
from new delivery and delivery support jobs
while also consolidating deliveries to one truck
per neighborhood instead of hundreds of SUVs
running over children and damaging roadways.
Fewer SUV's driving around is good for the
environment, and as the good people that we are
we must "Think of the children first!"

Errhm, so sorry (Please note that this post is not
    edited).

    19.0.2010.0 Beta (Aug 6, 2011 - 9:49 PM)

    Vis 'physical goods.'

For the only type of non volatile RAM
that I can remember how it works off
hand: It traps electrons which are are
    physical, and have a weight.

  8. Comment - UK finally makes ripping your own DVDs and CDs legal

    19.0.2010.0 Beta (Aug 5, 2011 - 10:01 PM)

Equally likely is that they are doing a new
    possession thing:
trying to decide which lengths of 300 ohm
cable are a new hanging offense because
some 300 ohm cable is blue.

  9. Comment - Symantec: fragmentation prevents Androids from recording phone calls

    19.0.2010.0 Beta (Aug 5, 2011 - 9:27 PM)

IMO, Kentucky bluegrass is actually a quite
pretty cobalt blue, and is drought resistant.

    Yikes. ;p
I must be so off my meds that I'm getting
optimistic (manic) enough to think that
    the real is actually cynicism.
Well, I've heard that Arkham Asylum serves
watermelon jello so just let me grab my
fuzzy penguin ehh, bored now, whatever.
