The best for me, better than both xnview and picasa for dual monitor users (they lack proper dual monitor support).
Faster than picasa and xnview, better features than infranview. It could look sleeker, but it's the program i've ended up with after 10 years in the photo business.

Clean interface, got good speed on limited libary wlan connection where other clients wouldnt start downloading at all. Integrated torrent search works fine, but its not the best searchengine.
Not bloated, simple and clean kazaa like interface, so its simple to understand for noobs also.

The good:
Excellent silent downloading, good interface, manages downloads very well.
The bad:
It lacks support for downloading streams in general. (rtsp, mms, compfused.com wmvs). The devs seems unwilling to include support for this.
The bothersome:
You can't delete files from hd through FDM, only from download list.
Devs doesn't seem to listen to suggestions made one their forum..
Bottom line:
Probably the best and most complete freeware download manager right now. But If wellget (www.wellget.com) gets a similar silent download system and as good stream support as netlimiter has, I'd switch.
1.23b Build 1223 (Jan 10, 2005)
A very promising freeware download manager, has most of the features of FDM but lacks full silent downloading. On the other hand it supports rtsp and mms streams, in that regard beeing more powerful than FDM.
It's likely that silent downloads and better support for downloading wmv clips (like the ones at compfused.com) will be added in the near future. And when that happens wellget will become (for me atleast), the most powerful download manager out there, and I've tried fast download manager, getright, flashget, netlimiter and FDM (wich I now use, but if wellget gets silent downloading I'll ditch it. The FDM devs doesn't seem keen on integrating rtsp and mms support anyways :/)
I still use the old free version of netlimiter for all streaming downloads =) But I hope that I'll be able to only use wellget soon.

Due to the sad fact that many pages don't work properly outside ie, maxthon is the only choice. But it is still a superb browser, in my opinion the best.

The ad itself is a bit cheesy/old fashioned, but it gets the message out and the name thing is just plain cute.
I guess they didn't dare to gamble with its content/design. Nevertheless, very impressive that the community has pulled this off. And it'll be interesting to see how big effect it has, and I'm sure it will make the "brand" firefox even stronger.
Regards yohan, maxthon user. (A browser that will never have the same success because of its name alone).
