  1. Comment - Microsoft Delays Vista Until 2007

    (Mar 23, 2006 - 12:06 PM)

I guess redesigning a GUI and slapping it on a BSD implementation constitutes a non-cosmetic change? Or how about that radical new apple hardware, the x86 architecture? Wow, apple is so innovative.

While I'll admit that Vista is not the revolutionary change it would have been with WinFS included in it, it still brings several new features to the OS. Personally I'd like to see windows move towards a microkernel implementation similar to Microsoft's Singularity project.

  2. Comment - DOJ Rebukes Google Privacy Concerns

Keep it up Google. It is none of the government's business what I'm looking at.

I don't see how this is different than illegal NSA wiretapping, and in conflict with the 4th amendment. Unless the DOJ gets a warrant for a particular user, they should not be able to monitor internet search queries.

  3. Comment - Metallica Sues Napster, Universities, Fans

k....should we call you mcCarthy? damn dude, you tell people to go to china but I think you'd fit in better if you were to go back to the post WWII era. Live a little bro, you're obviously a HUGE metallica fan who wants them to get so rich that they rule the world or you're a damn die hard republican, which I hate to tell you, is a rarity among the on-line comunity. If you really believe that you shouldn't be able to get digital music over the internet then more power to ya, but I hate to tell ya, not everyone can afford all the music that they like to listen to.

It is my personal belief that digital music is good because it will revolutionize the way that bands make their money. It will bring them back to the fans by forcing them to make more money through live performances, something that I think that a lot of bands are slacking on lately.

Oh yeah, just one last thing. I have been a die hard metallica fan since the black album came out when I was in 5th grade. But I DON'T SUPPORT THIS. It seems that a band that started its whole career by saying, "**** the system," is just being a little hypocritical when they sue their fans because they are in fact saying, "**** the system."
