   Zen Warrior, I'm sorry you had problems and please don't take this the wrong way, but don't you think it's more likely that given all the other great reviews for KL Codec Pack, it's more likely that the problem is with something specific to you, rather than with KL Codec Pack itself? I've been using it for years, including the QT Alternative and Real Player Alternative, and I've never had a problem. Try re-installing with all the standard options and see if you have more luck. You'll definitely appreciate not having to have QT and Real Player bloatware installed...

   I've been using this for about six months and I think it's great. It's been around a lot longer than that... surely Google would have told the author by now if they were that upset by Gmail Drive...

   Review - Nvu for Windows

   Ever since 0.30 I've been unable to log in to my FTP server via the site manager. With previous versions, nothing happened until the connection attempt timed out after about five minutes; this time a dialogue appears almost straight away saying "Login Incorrect". The details I enter aren't incorrect, because I've double and triple checked them and they work fine via an FTP client, and also via Dreamweaver. But this renders NVu useless to me.
   
   I can find nothing in the help files to help me and I've posted on the online help forums but had no response. So the low mark is a reflection of the lack of useful information (eg. the next-to-useless dialogue box that appears) as much as a criticism of the fact that I've never been able to get it to work.

   Review - cFosSpeed

   1.09 Build 923 Beta (Dec 27, 2004)

   Works well for me. On a 2meg ADSL connection, it increased average sustained bandwidth (11 mins) from ~215 to 225kbps. Worth a go.

   Review - NVIDIA PureVideo Decoder (formerly NVIDIA DVD Decoder)

   You can't install it without first buying it, because it asks for the activation code on the receipt you got when you purchase it. Fair enough, but seems a bit silly putting it on fileforum...
