  1. Review - TopStyle

    3.11 Beta 1 (Aug 5, 2004)

Topstyle was and still is (one of) the most powerfull CSS editor around. I have used this program for several years now and must say I never came across a better program for creating, managing and correcting stylesheets.

And the light html editor available since 3.? is a nice extra to the complete program. Now you don't need any other editor for creating your websites.

I think it is a wise decission to clean up Topstyle in this new version. All the backward compatibility options are kinda useless when you really want to use stylesheets. The only thing missing to my opinion is an alternative inline preview. IE is extremely out of date when it comes to checking and creating great stylesheets. I know there is a (very hard) way to get Gecko to run inside Topstyle, but I think this should be a default option. Or include the Opera runtime.

  2. Review - Eudora for Windows

    6.0.0.8 Beta (Jun 2, 2003)

You can still call it freeware because it is. You can choose to use it in 'lite' mode. You don't get all the features, but you won't get any sponsors as well.

Either way, I find it a great product; still improving it’s possibilities.

  3. Review - CloneCD

    4.1.0.1 (Nov 12, 2002)

I love it. Especially for cd’s with copy protection build in.
For fatray with his problems to copy GTA3. That’s, as far as I can find out, not a problem with CloneCD. I managed to make the copy without any difficulties. And yes, it works without any form of patch.

  4. Review - Mozilla for Windows

    1.0 Final (Jun 5, 2002)

Works great. Nearly all known bugs where fixed. Some moved to 1.0.1. Was already using the beta and will continue to do so. Just hope more and more software designers and developers will include the gecko engine in their software.

  6. Comment - Sun Attacks Microsoft XML Strategy Shift

    1.0 Final (Mar 25, 2003 - 9:59 AM)

Personally I think Sun is right on this one. Off course they bring this up because they want people to start using Star Office, but it is true. There is more to do with the ms xml. Antivirus companies as well complained about its structure lately. Besides, the underlying code of the documents is probably still so sloppy they don’t want it to become properly xml formatted.
