  1. Comment - The big change coming to Safari 5: Kernel-level multi-processing

    (Apr 11, 2010 - 9:55 AM)

    @Anthony SPT

    Shill much?

    You posted 4 messages (out of the 13 total comments) all praising IE 9 as being vastly superior to Webkit. Yet you seem to have forgotten to provide any evidence. Do you believe that simply repeating fabricated 'facts' makes them true? How about some evidence?

    I'm not interested in Microsoft's promises of how great it will be. They said the same thing about IE 2. And IE 3. And IE 4. And IE 5. And so on.

    If you have real facts to support the contention that IE 9 is better than Webkit (which is going to be tough since Webkit was just announced), feel free to provide them. Otherwise, take your shilling somewhere else.

  2. Comment - Apple has sold 150,000 iPads since launch day

    "So without any information regarding what remains on-hand, this information is....useless"

    Except that Best Buy says they're sold out and waiting for new supplies. Shipments to the Apple Store don't count until sold to consumers (not to mention that stocks in Apple stores are quite small relative to sales, anyway). So 450,000 would be the number actually in consumer hands.

  3. Comment - Once you dig deeper, Apple's record quarter is not so impressive

    (Jan 26, 2010 - 1:13 PM)

    You admitted that you're not a shareholder. I am. I'm happy. So the evidence we have is that 100% of shareholders are happy with the results and how they were reported and 0% of the people who have no financial interest in the matter.

    I've talked with quite a few shareholders. Every single one was bright enough to realize that Apple was changing its reporting and based their decision to buy, hold, or sell on that information. The information was readily available so any reasonable shareholder would have found it.

    It's only the loud-mouthed Apple-bashing bloggers who seem to have an issue with it.

    "I would have praised Apple for being responsible"

    Bull. I've read a number of your 'stories' and you've never once said anything positive about Apple. All of your stories are like this one - you find some mindless nit to pick with Apple and try to blow it up into a major problem.

    Even if you had been unable to find something negative, at best, you would have ignored it. To pretend that you would have praised Apple for ANYTHING is ridiculous.

    Which was explained much better in http://tinyurl.com/ybjcom8 than Mr. Wilcox could ever hope to accomplish.
