1.2.4037 Beta (Jan 20, 2011)
I used for a long time Winamp, then Songbird. But now I'll probably won't give up MusicBee for anything else. It's everything that I would ever want, but if you can come up with something that it misses, just kindly ask on the forum, it will be done :)
4.0 Beta 1 Candidate (Jun 29, 2010)
the UI in windows7 could have been better. the strata40 and stratabuddy addons do a lot better job with firefox 3.6 than firefox 4.0b1 without any addons
5.0 (Jun 8, 2010)
this is an ugly copy of chrome.
later edit: html5 video and audio do not work!
2.7 Beta (Aug 27, 2009)
Same old ugly interface... 7-zip can do almost everything PeaZip does and looks better (though not perfect).
3.0.182.2 Beta (May 29, 2009)
nice! chrome it's getting better and better... i like that the interface is really simple and it's really fast. i hope it will get an extension repository, 'cause i really need a google bookmarks extension :)
@stevelw: 2.0 was released as a full version. but probably you're using the weekly updated channel so you always have the development version.
@ain: there are some changes in the way that chrome displays fonts (family and size is now based on OS), so a lot of people experience small or big fonts, but i'm sure this will be fixed next week :)
3.0.182.2 Beta (Jul 28, 2011 - 5:39 AM)
If I had to buy a smartphone right now, I would either choose Galaxy S2 or wait for the next big Samsung Android phone (maybe Nexus Prime, maybe another Galaxy). I have an iPhone 4 right now and I really hate it. Not the device itself (I actually like the design and the screen, although it's a bit too heavy, you feel like you have a brick in your pocket) but because of all the limitations of iOS. I wish a had Android on it...
So right now I'm gonna wait for iOS 5 and Android 4.0 to be launched. Most probably I'll get and Android phone. I would get Galaxy S2 right now if I knew it will be upgraded to 4.0
3.0.182.2 Beta (Jul 23, 2011 - 11:13 AM)
My point was that the nsslabs report is showing the results of only one survery. Microsoft did their own tests (http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/) saying that IE9 is much better and much more standards-compliant than the other browsers, and after a few weeks all the other tests said exactly the opposite. Turns out the Test Drive was specifically made for IE9.
On the other hand, I've seen how M$ builds up their security filters. They have an algorithm which generates many false positives, which are then filtered by their interns. Having a human factor in this process is very good and they do have good results. I just don't think there is a huge difference, like the nsslabs suggests. I think they "happened" to choose some sites that are filtered by M$ and not by Google
3.0.182.2 Beta (Jul 22, 2011 - 5:07 PM)
I don't really think that this security test which was all over the news this week is actually a real-life test. Almost every recent test that favored IE was dismissed by other independent tests - for example the ones made by M$.
I have to admit that IE made a lot of progress. The only reason I am still against IE right now (besides some unsupported HTML5 and CSS3 features in the latest version) is because there are many people still using old version, fragmenting the market and leaving a lot of users without many important features. As a web application developer you can't do everything you want because of IE.
I think that this test shows exactly the qualities and flaws of each browsers. I was a long-time Firefox fan, before I switched to Chrome for its performance. The only flaw of Chrome is that it eats too much memory due to its many processes, but most of the computers these days should have a problem even with many tabs opened. On older computers, Opera rules. It really deserves the second place.
3.0.182.2 Beta (Jul 22, 2011 - 3:09 PM)
Cool, but could you stop adding links to downloadcrew? that site is kind of crap. if you want to have your own website linked, not the real website, you could link to fileforum, since it's a part of betanews, has better design and you can actually find what you are looking for.
I really don't like downloadcrew/softwarecrew and I find annoying that betanews links to them all the time.
3.0.182.2 Beta (Jul 13, 2011 - 8:36 AM)
