  1. Review - AusLogics BoostSpeed

    5.0.4.235 (Sep 5, 2010)

What were the developers thinking of when they designed this? This is basically malicious software that's gonna dupe people in to spending 50 bucks to line the pockets of a rich Australian developer who spends way too long lying in the sun thinking of new ways to scam internet users.

Just best avoid registry cleansing tools that scare you in to payment. Plenty of free boosting tools if you must.

  2. Comment - Which Firefox is right for you -- 6, 7, 8 or 9?

    5.0.4.235 (Aug 19, 2011 - 1:12 PM)

And Firefox 9 Nightly isn't, currently, available as a x64 build.

  3. Comment - Is Windows 8's app store better late than never?

    5.0.4.235 (Aug 18, 2011 - 2:49 PM)

The app store won't be good for FileForum if it's like the Apple App Store - a lot of developers now push their downloads through the app store, rather than from their website.

If Microsoft bring out an app store, it's going to affect large chunk of the software market from retail, ESD through to downloads.

  4. Comment - Office 365 becomes Office 364 with Wednesday outage

    5.0.4.235 (Aug 18, 2011 - 3:30 AM)

Big difference though. With "crapple" products you can simply give the Apple Store a call or visit a local Apple Store. With Office 365 offline you can't do any work whatsoever.

  5. Comment - When Apple's AirPlay isn't enough, Air PlayIt

    5.0.4.235 (Aug 15, 2011 - 11:04 AM)

Air Playit is completely free - no paid upgrade.

  6. Comment - Chrome 14 beta supports C/C++, OS X Lion, Native Client and more

    5.0.4.235 (Aug 12, 2011 - 2:37 PM)

Chrome 15 is superb on Lion. Impressed. It feels like Google have spent some time working on the browser specifically for Lion, over the last month.

Only snag appears to me that Mobile Me (www.me.com) shows a blank page, using Chrome 15, after login! Maybe that's what Google intended...
