  1. Review - Jarte

    3.1 (Mar 9, 2008)

Actually this is perfect for a bunch of needs. Do not confuse this with NotePad replacements. Jarte is a full Word Processor. Having the Find window shown all the time is great.
Yes, the GUI takes a bit of time to get accustomed to, but I was able to do it. So you can. And 'Yes', I would like to see a more conventional menu bar, toolbar, and icons. But all in all, this is a great product!

  2. Review - NoteTab Standard

    4.9 (Jun 12, 2002)

Just a SUPER product. I have used the Lite version, now Standard ver, for 4 years. I really like the ability to have multiple files open, the edit 'copy all' feature, and the email 'unquote' feature. This is darned close to being a full word processor, and miles ahead of other 'Notepad' replacement products. Wish that I could rate it a '10'.

  3. Review - MemCheck Pro

    3.0 (May 30, 2002)

My notes from a while ago: FYI - take the info for what you paid for it -- 0. UNINSTALLED. Lot of disc thrashing when this program executing. MemCheck Pro v3.0
I do remember the C: drive 'thrashing': lots of activity, and lots of CPU cycles used. The program description & concept is great; but the executable leaves a lot to be desired.

  4. Review - DiskState

    2.70 (Mar 31, 2002)

I rated '3' because that is midpoint. I rate '5' for functionality and usefulness; but the price of $59. is not realistic for me. I have used multiple betas of this with no probs, and would have quickly paid $15. or $17. I do not have a LAN; just one personal home PC. So, I can find lower cost ways to do the same thing for MUCH less. Yes, it will take me more time to do those functions. Hence - the trade-off dilema for me. Uninstall.

  5. Review - Nero InfoTool

    1.01 (Mar 12, 2002)

Another reminder about avoiding Version 1.x software. This program only recognized my CD drive. One of the tabs does not work, and angrily I deleted the program too quickly to be able to return to it and accurately identify which for this review. Unprofessional on my part. The concept of this program is GREAT; the implementation NEEDS work.
