  1. Comment - Intel, FTC settle on charges of anticompetitive behavior

    (Aug 6, 2010 - 11:43 AM)

Accepted. Then a nice "Hide Comment" button would be much better and then the the thumb ups/downs is used for either agreeing or disagreeing which I assume is it's original intended purpose. As the "Hide Comment" button is not an option that's available (yet) I now understand why people do it.

Come on Betanews, give us a hide this comment button :D

Why are there some numpties on betanews lately that always give thumbs down to other peoples comments and don't even have the intelligence to return a compelling argument as to why they have given it?

I fully expect a thumbs down for this comment but that just proves the lack of intelligence that these small minded individual's posses.

Although initially I did agree with your sentiments I think this could help a number of people, maybe the blind, people with poor motor skills like parkinsons disease sufferers or even someone who has lost limbs (an arm or fingers)

  4. Comment - Microsoft unveils KIN, the Sidekick for the 2010s

OK, so it has all the above mentioned "social" apps, cam, features, etc, but many current smartphones (inc. my Nokia N86) has all the features you point out so I do understand smist08's point as to "what's so different between this and a good smartphone?" - but it does look real nice and handy!

Time will tell I guess, I'm certainly not going to write it off yet.

I'm just glad it's not by Apple - then you could pretty much guarantee it would be an overrated, overhyped and overpriced piece of kit! :-)

  5. Comment - That wasn't supposed to happen: IE usage share steady since choice screen

lol. my better half, who is also quite a dab hand at getting around the net, commented to me last week in a similar fashion. She told me she liked Firefox better than Bing :D - then realised as I gave a rye look and said with a smile "Thats not right is it?" so I explain and she knew realised her mistake right away.

She uses prefers Firefox since I installed it but loved the speed of Chrome better, the only reason she stopped using Chrome was because Farmwille (I KNOW!) on Facebook kept on crashing it.

I personally use all three main browsers but have tended to stay with Chrome more so lately.
