I keep hearing that the old style, flat wire, twin 300 ohm lead wire is better for OTA reception than the much more used, lazy installer's preferred 75 ohm coaxial. Figure out which ohm wire is best, while you're at it. I ain't cuttin' cable anytime soon, either.

A long time Foxit user for viewing PDFs, I got tired of increasing nag-ware with each version bump & switched to PDF-Exchange Viewer & am glad I made the switch.

The non-native Profile Manager program is useful for using separate profiles for separate versions of Firefox, like the Nightly w/o risking corrupting your default Firefox browser version's profile: ftp.mozilla.org/pub/utilities/profilemanager/1.0/ It has the ability to back up individual version specific profiles & saves a lot of time vs. doing all that stuff manually. A long time Firefox user- I didn't think I'd like FF4, but I do. Multirow Bookmarks Toolbar was taken over by another party & works w/FF4. Got 15 RSS feeds in the bottom bookmarks toolbar & 22 regular bookmarks in the top row...which makes more convenient surfing IMO. Don't use TOO many add-ons, but some "have to haves" are Better Privacy, Adblock Plus , the aforementioned Multirow BM Toolbar & sometimes Configuration Mania with many tweaks & which retains a User Agent switch, unlike "User Agent Switcher", which has to be reset each time. Pleasantly surprised by FF4.

eh, I took my time writing some other stuff, but it got dropped, because I took too long. Basically, said I may keep cable & not stream because of having no way to stream ShoTime with them dropping Netflix. & suppose that may, have been some cable/satellite exec's intention.
