  1. Review - Mandriva Linux

    2010.2 (Dec 29, 2010)

Graphical server is wacked. Refuses to install correctly with my GTX 460. 2010.1 worked perfectly, so it is not my hardware issue. My Asus Xonar DX soundcard works for a split second and crashes immediately after bootup. Absolutely ridiculous. I'll pass on this build...blah.

  2. Review - openSUSE

    11.4 Milestone 4 (Dec 2, 2010)

Dude "Libre Office" is Open Office. They broke clean from Oracle after they took over Sun Microsystems. Always like Suse, this just keeps getting better and better.

  3. Review - BurnAware Free

    2.1.4 (Oct 6, 2008)

Works flawlessly for me with WinXP SP3 & my 20x SATA burner. Couldn't ask for more with a solid free app like this.

  4. Review - Mozilla Firefox (v2) for Windows

    2.0.0.14 (Jun 17, 2008)

F because the download servers are swamped from people wanting it? FF3 is the best web browser out there, period.

  5. Comment - Egypt's telecommunications blackout crushes citizen journalism

    2.0.0.14 (Jan 31, 2011 - 1:23 PM)

Communications is always the first causality during a revolution of any kind...should the revolution be good or bad. The last thing obviously the ruling government wants is the free flow of information, allowing the opposition to gain more momentum . The internet is even more over a priority target since you can deliver images & stream videos at the click of a mouse.

  6. Comment - Wikileaks' Assange denied bail after surrendering to UK authorities

    2.0.0.14 (Dec 10, 2010 - 5:34 PM)

"obvious lie of "weapons of mass destruction", then score one for the good guys."

Then the wikileaks is full of lies, because there is thousands of references in these leaks talking about all the chemical weapons that were found in Iraq since 2003.

  7. Comment - Craiglist asked to shut down adult personals over sex trafficking

    2.0.0.14 (Aug 10, 2010 - 4:04 PM)

Yeah not dealing with the real issue correctly always turns into a totalitarian forced morality law that simply passes the blame onto some media outlet etc...

  8. Comment - Sarah Palin hacker convicted

    2.0.0.14 (May 2, 2010 - 6:44 AM)

Saying "Palin is stupid, dumb, braindead" is boring ad hominem rhetoric of the most inane kind. I'm conservative and disagree with most leftist ideals, but I refuse to go around saying "Obama [or whoever] is dumb-stupid-braindead". Show a little respect & take the high road over the usual partisan nonsense.

  9. Comment - Nvidia's licensing situation with AMD is just as bad as with Intel

    2.0.0.14 (Apr 23, 2009 - 7:54 PM)

Nvidia is just far too smart of a company to try to lock out. Personally I would not give them something like this to motivate & rally themselves around.
