    3.5.0.501 Beta (Jul 10, 2011)

I question the statement that this is cross platform. According to the web page, it only works in Windows, granted it work on different versions. That's hardly cross platform.

  2. Review - CCleaner for Windows

I agree, this is a great piece of software. It does exactly what it is suppose to. It has straightened out several computers that were failing in some respects. I also use it on ever computer brought to me. It has never failed. To those who say it messes up the registry, I have never seen it. Keep up the good work guys.

  3. Review - Speccy

    1.02.156 (Jun 7, 2010)

Running this on my HP laptop running Win XP, the computer locks up numerous times during the hard drive check. It locks up so bad that the mouse won't move, sometimes for several minutes at a time. This happened with this version and the previous one. The CTRL, ALT DEL won't even bring it back. The other Piriform products I use works great. Sorry guys.

No mention of Google talk. Kinda pointless with out it.
Apologies... I was on the web page for version 3 and Gtalk wasn't mentioned there. You are correct.

  5. Review - IrfanView

It simply does every thing I need it to. While I've tried others, IV is simple, fast, and easy to use.

  6. Comment - AVG Premium Security 2011: New features could offer more

    4.22 (Aug 9, 2011 - 6:26 PM)

AVG has worked well for me. I have dumped some of the big names, including one I was a beta tester for, and have lived happily ever after with AVG. I do admire your ability to have tested all the other AV programs, as you implied.

  7. Comment - Google unveils voice calling through Gmail

I just tried this, and it worked great. Easy to make the call, and it sounded 99% as good as a land line did. The call was literally across the country. Well done, Google.

  8. Comment - Confessions of a Windows 7 to Ubuntu switcher

    4.22 (Aug 13, 2010 - 10:07 AM)

I have a netbook that came with XP and SSD. On start up the process was, turn it on, go make coffee, check on netbook, feed the dog, then see if netbook was done. After a few months of this, I installed Linux, and eventually Ubunbtu 10.4 for netbooks. Start time is less than 15 seconds. It does everything I need it to do, and faster.
I object to an article that is designed to just start a debate. This is Betanews. Stick to the news. Or find some place called Betaopinion.

  9. Comment - Google Voice is now open to everyone, no invites required

Should have given it a +4

  10. Comment - Google Voice is now open to everyone, no invites required

    4.22 (Jun 22, 2010 - 2:17 PM)

I have been using Google Voice for a while now, and find it quite useful. Especially when I want too text someone, since typing on a Blackberry is challenging. If Google wants to spy on me and listen to phone calls, they'll get pretty bored listening to my wife asking what I'd like for dinner.
The software works well, does what it says it does.
