  2. Review - FileZilla Server

    0.9.29 (Nov 10, 2008)

    Hey Reverb,

I do a lot of backups using True Image and FileZilla as the FTP recipient. I know backing up works flawlessly, but I'm not sure about restoring. Are you sure there are problems? I have True Image 9 and 11 and both seem to work fine for me. Also I should note, I'm doing this over a 100 to 1000Mbit LAN vs. WAN (aka Internet).

    Thanks,
    Christian

I love this program, but it's not perfect. My big complaint is that you can't make multi-session DVDs at this time. Aside from that it's very similar to a classic version of Roxio easy CD-Creator.

This is the best tool for being OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) about what programs load automatically. In addition to controlling more startup avenues than MSCONFIG, it'll tell you whether the file exists, who made it, etc. and thank goodness it doesn't leave behind that obnoxious warning message that MSCONFIG is notorious for. You only need a customer to run into that message once before you'll avoid using it. Not that I don't know how to go into the registry and remove the msconfig entry manually.

    Hi Developer,

Since you're obviously a newbie when it comes to Windows programming "File" the current name for that menu item should be "&File" that will make it keyboard accessible. All items beneath it should have a unique letter underlined:
    &Copy
    &Move
    &Delete

In terms of the keyboard shortcuts have a look at Explorer and Notepad and the Windows help (Search for Keyboard shortcuts) system to figure out what the conventions are. For example f3=find and f2 =rename.

    Cheers,
    Christian

  6. Comment - Which web browser do you use?

FireFox since 2.0, but currently 3.6.15. I'm also using Adblock Plus, FireFox Sync (or XMarks if a client needs to sync with a different browser), Autofill forms, and URL Fixer are also enjoyed.

Hi ReBradley, HSPA+ is what T-Mobile is using for the 4G network. Cheers, Christian

What a bunch of tight wads. I can't believe sprint can't squeeze out 4.46 off the 3G money their getting and not charge anyone the 10 dollars extra. It just shows you how greedy cell phone carriers are.

Just further proof that all billionaires are perverts of a greedy origin. What person could possibly need more than 25 million? And yet Paul has more than 100 times that figure. It is not possible for someone to have so much without having many others just scraping by.

  10. Comment - Microsoft at CES: Finally, what to expect from Windows Mobile 7 and Windows Phone

    0.0.23.441 (Jan 18, 2010 - 5:58 AM)

There are two big problems with Windows Mobile #1 no continued support. The OS has windows update, but I've never received a single update from it. I have WinMo 6 and they released a version of IE 6 for it, but the only way you can get it is if your device vendor releases an update for your phone. What the heck? Secondly there are so many necessary steps and stupid, corrections idiotic features like an analog clock that's 16x16 pixels that I also active by accident while talking on the phone. I mean who wants an analog clock that's so small you couldn't being to read it? The fact that people particularly like Windows Mobile is entirely Microsoft's fault for not doing a good job on it.
