LAME absolutely sucks. It doesn't seem to give the competition a chance when it comes to Quality. Even Fraunhofen-Gisellshauft Encoders are nowhere near as good as this.

Dude, this has got to be the BEST version of WinAmp ever! Sure it's a f***ing system hog on the lower end computers- other than that its features kick ass! WinAmp2 is ok for laptops, but if your computer can handle the power, this definately ownz the multimedia scene. It runs ok WinXP and Win98 but so far, the best platform is Win2KPro. And as for the rest of the hardcore WinAmp2 users - don't try and run this on your trusty old 286 - it just won't move.
---Definate power for those that can run it.

*LaRfiN!* All programs are full of bugs - infact, debugging ends only when the programmer is bored of it, not when all bugs are removed. Enough ranting, this is my opinion - HEAPS MORE STABLE THAN INTERNET EXPLORER >=)

They've finally done it. Justin and his obedient followers have created the best Media Player in existance.

ha! Yeah baby! Now THIS is the playtoy for our Linux R&D boys. Buggy as all hell, but that's kinda half expected with betas. Shouldn't this be called "LinAmp" though? -Sam
