  1. Review - LibreOffice for Windows

    3.3.0 Beta 2 (Nov 13, 2010)

Libre Office is a fork of OpenOffice that
is developed by a foundation outside the
control of Oracle. At the moment it is like
OpenOffice with some of the other forks
and extensions merged into it. We'll see what
direction future development will take and if the
foundation will succeed in getting some serious
programming done on its own (i.e. by its volunteer
    contributors).

Go LibreOffice, I wish thee well ;)
(I only wish they had chosen a better name...)

  2. Review - Mp3tag

    2.46a (Apr 13, 2010)

IMHO still the best tag editor hands down.
I have been using this for 5+ years - nothing
    compares to this *freeware*.

    Thanks, Florian (the author) ...

  3. Review - WinRAR (32-bit)

    3.92 (Feb 16, 2010)

Still the best IMO.I registered some years ago,
and since then, WinRAR has never let me down.
RAR is a time-proven, very resiliant and reliable
    archive format.
WinRAR is reliable quality software with a fair
    ("lifetime") licencse model.

ATM, I use the 64 bit version.

  5. Review - WinRAR (32-bit)

    3.90 Beta 3 (Jun 10, 2009)

The best archiver, a true classic.
100% reliable, has never let me down.
I use it for all my backups.

Clean interface (a bit old fashioned, but thats ok for me).
Anyway, the interfce is still AGES ahead of 7zip's s***ty,
    featureless and pathetic GUI.
