  1. Review - Google Chrome for Windows

    7.0.517.8 Beta (Sep 19, 2010)

I like Google Chrome, not sure it's the safest as some are suggesting. I have been using it since it arrived on the scene, and have recently started to use it for my banking as a result of reports that at the latest big hacking competition it was the only one not hacked. Now I read it was not the only browser not hacked, Opera was also not hacked, and the reason they were not hacked I now discover is because the hackers involved did not even try to hack them. Just a final comment, I came here to read a review on this beta browser, but what I appear to have arrived in is a chat room where all that is discussed are the views of others, not a single post just reviewing the bloomin' browser. So if you want a good argument hit the discussion button, if you want to review something, review it, and not get into some silly argument with a guy you've never met.

  2. Review - Opera for Windows

    10.60 (Jul 2, 2010)

I too have that problem with IPlayer. My problem extends even further, if I close Opera with IPlayer still loaded Opera does not close down, only discover some time later when I try to launch Opera, and get that message telling me another version of Opera is running. Need to use the task manager to end it and launch Opera a second time. That was a major gripe for me and it is now my fourth browser of choice after Chrome, Firefox and IE8.

  3. Review - Opera for Windows

    10.52 (Apr 27, 2010)

This version appears to have fixed the "still loading last element" bug which landed some two years ago, so it gets a five from me.

  4. Review - ThreatFire

    4.10.1.14 (Jan 21, 2010)

The best of the best, and I won't leave home without it. Installed on all my machines, on my friends machines, and on my families machines. It's free and it works, what more can you ask for.

  5. Review - Google Chrome for Windows

    4.0.249.30 Beta (Dec 8, 2009)

It's fast, but no faster than Opera, it may also be the safest browser available, or so I'm told. I like it, and on my XP machine it's the default, on my Windows 7 machine my default is IE8, on that machine it's the one I enjoy using most. But this beta is worth a 4 in my book, excellent browser.

  6. Comment - Anti-malware vendors unite to fight cybercriminals

    4.0.249.30 Beta (Aug 18, 2011 - 11:20 AM)

Too many irrelevant and silly comments are appearing on this forum of late, needs sorting.

  7. Comment - Crimey, I can watch Netflix on Chromebook

    4.0.249.30 Beta (Aug 12, 2011 - 3:32 AM)

Love my Chromebook more each day. Folk who don't actually use a Chromebook really should buzz off and post about stuff they actually use, and as for PC_Tools posts about that bloomin' 6 year old Toshiba laptop, which appears to get older and more impressive with each and every post he makes I say move on fella, move on.

Nothing wrong with Chromebooks, I have a Chromebook. I also have a better job than you, a 1960 Jaguar MK 2, and a puppy .
