4.7.0.1 Beta 5 (Nov 12, 2011)
I can't understand why people are criticizing this program so much.
It's actually very useful.
I do agree however it is lacking in the customer support area.
For that I will give it a low rating however I don't agree with all of the previous antagonistic and threatening reviews.

I must concur wit the review stating why pay $40 to replace freeware bloated overly complex unituitive Windows Media Player with an even more complex bloated unintuitive lookalike?
But wait! You can also enjoy your posts on the support forum being habitually greeted with snide insults from the official company posters including the CEO, who instantly deletes posts which he deems derogatory or heaven forbid mention a competing product.
The company claims audiophile sound quality beyond the competitors, yet few ppl even have an audiophile digital playback setup to even evaluate let alone validate the claim.
2011 R4 5142 Final (May 24, 2011)
Does what it says but the interface and the intrusive pop-ups are just horrible.
1.9.1 (Apr 13, 2011)
I just love Unlocker. Nice to see it is still being improved.

No XP support?
No problem, we'll use Google apps today, and tomorrow a Google OS.
To those who don't think that lack of XP support is a problem, be always prepared to ditch OS and many apps in few years. Spend money regularly on (fat) software so your hardware needs money too, and be prepared to install and setup each app to do everything the way you want, again and again.
I hope that someday we find intelligent life in the universe, because here...

Mozilla's management are shooting themselves in the foot with the version number thing. Idiots. My extensions still aren't compatible with 5!

This is a boneheaded RIM hater excuse for a news posting. RIM is making an LTE playbook. Do you honestly think Sprint is the only game in town? The Playbook also just got cleared by the US and AUS gov't as the only tablet cleared for secure communications. Just because the Playbook isn't hitting Ipad numbers doesn't mean they're pulling the plug. A pure speculative post disguised as facts or as stated in the article, "may be interpreted." Child please.

Very annoying - you must be an administrator to run this. If you're just downloading stuff, why do you need to be an admin?

Apple has been one of the big players for at least several years now. In the consumer and entertainment market where they have their niche it is very competitive. Being firm and acting tough has benefited Apple so far, so why stop?
