4314.4c Beta (May 19, 2007)
This is a BETA, is known to have problem, Why are ya people complaing that the software dont work ? of course is going to have problems, So before they are made final , they need to release it so people like you and me could tested and report any problem it may have,,,,
So wirtting a negative review about this software is just damn wrong.. is a BETA remember that..
Wait to the final is release, then complaint all you want, mock it , burn it do what ever you want, but wait for the final,., IF there is a problem with it, then report it to AOL beta central where they could fix the problem,
Oh one more thing, Is people here are succesfully getting the software install on their computer but not yours, Then i guess you might want to have a technician tak a look at it , cause if you knew how to fix the problem, then i guess you wont bother putting negative reviews about this software, expeciall when is a BETA software...
is BETA, here is what it means for you people that know it all..
What is beta software?
After an initial round of in-house testing, software publishers often release new programs to be tested by the public. These pre-release versions are called beta software, usually denoted by a "b" in the version number, e.g., Netscape Navigator 2.0b5. Since the publisher couldn't possibly test the software under all possible conditions, it is reasonable to expect that wider use of the software may uncover problems that were not discovered during in-house testing. The publisher expects to be notified when users find such problems so that the program can be fixed before its official release.
In general, you should expect to run into bugs whenever using any piece of beta software. These bugs may range in severity from minor features that don't work to problems that cause your computer to crash. You should decide whether the benefit of new features in a beta program outweighs the risk of program instability before choosing to use a piece of beta software. You should also be aware that UITS will not have thoroughly tested beta software, nor will the software be guaranteed by its maker, so you should not expect the same level of support as you would receive for an official release version of the program.
5.0.0.184 (May 17, 2007)
a pretty good software , i have used this in the past, even though it has block me from connection online, Just have to go to the setting options and set it up correctly and it should work fine, yes it may slow down your pc a bit when running on your background, But do you really need a spyware program running in your background, This software is really good when it comes to cleaning spyware and adware, I used spybot for most of my spware cleaning, and if spyware could not remove them, that it has happen before, then i run the spyware doctor to remove it for me, Thsi application is best used for a advance pc user then a average pc user , But overall is a really good software to remove spyware that other spyware scanner cant remove.. but if you need a spyware software to run on your background, then try to used Spyware Terminator, Is free and has real time spyware protection.. but will not remove all of the spyware it finds, you could say will remove about 95 percent of them, the rest you will need to used spyware doctor to remove..
but overall is a good one.. which they were free, but then again, how much will you be willing to protect your computer from breaking down or stealling your information, you really cant put a price tag on ..
9.0.45.0 (May 17, 2007)
well of course i give this a 5, you need this software install in order to view certain files that are made out of flash, like videos and mp3 players that are created by flash, If you really dont know what plash player is made for, then please dont post any comments about it, Version 8 had a bug on it that let hackers use it to attact your computer, version 9 is out and fixes the problem, Also there is a full stand alone flash player you could get doing a google search..
1.1.0 Build 207 (May 17, 2007)
wow must admit, is pretty cool aol release this for people to used with their own domain name, the first bult had a few bugs, but the latest one seem to get rid of most bugs, you could also used your aol screen name with this or if you have a domain such as xxx@xxx.com , then you could used it here and be able to talk to any of your friends that uses aim or aol without having to sign up for a AOL or AIM account..
6.1.41.2 (May 17, 2007)
Well this software is pretty cool, but only if you are talking to friends that uses AOL or AIM, you wont be able to chat with friends that uses other instant messenger client, I have been using aol since 4.0 and it has work pretty good, Never had any complaint about it, The only thing i hate about aim is that display ads , but overall it is a good instant messenger software, there is no spyware or adware install during the installation, and if you consider viewpoint to be adware/spyware, then really you should not be commenting about the software if you dont do your homework first, Viewpoint is uses to view videos and audio on some AOL pages,

6.1.41.2 (Feb 9, 2007 - 10:52 AM)
Well i am fron NYC, and almost everybody hear have some type of mp3 players , and if you ride the subway, you are bound to find atleast 10 people on a car subway if is crowded, maybe more, I have one with me and i walk all over the city with it, how about enforcing the speed limit and adding more lights, i think that will help, if you are from nyc, then you know that almost everyday in NYC in the news someone always getting hit by cars or big cars accidents..
if they do pass it that i hope they dont, i dont think is something NYPD will be enforcing a lot, If they dont enforce jailwalking, what make everyone think they will enforce the ipod /mp3 player new laws..
