  1. Review - Appupdater

    1.0.1 (Dec 18, 2008)

Appupdater has a GUI now, it can be used by anyone easily.

Well worth it for parents or relatives that don't live nearby!

  2. Review - Net Transport for Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista

    2.54.390 (Jan 15, 2008)

Most other Download Managers don't handle streams as well. Great app!

  3. Review - Appupdater

    0.8.2 (Jan 3, 2008)

I like this. Keep in mind it's mostly a text interface or a not so pretty graphical one, but it works well for me. I don't have time to keep all my random apps installed, and this seems to cover most of what I use.

Betanews should have a repository and use this program.

    0.6.9 (Oct 1, 2007)

Indispensable if you use an external DM (you should).

  5. Review - DownThemAll

    1.0 Beta 1 (Aug 16, 2007)

If you download much with Firefox, then you need this extension. It also includes metalink ( http://www.metalinker.org/ ) support.

  6. Comment - Downloaders declare open season on OpenOffice 3.0 servers

    1.0 Beta 1 (Oct 14, 2008 - 4:21 PM)

Try a metalink, they work & contain all the mirrors...

  7. Comment - Panel: Ads are more powerful for promoting artists than their own music

    1.0 Beta 1 (Jan 10, 2008 - 11:38 AM)

if you're consistently selling out a 1,500 capacity place, you're making a good living. you can't spend like a rockstar every night, & the $ may not feel like it's worth it being on the road that much.

being on a major label is more curse than blessing for almost all artists besides the upper echelon.

  8. Comment - Mozilla releases Firefox 3.0 Beta 2, new features premiere

    1.0 Beta 1 (Dec 19, 2007 - 10:53 PM)

They could also use metalinks, which would link to all download sites and spread the load between them. Info at http://www.metalinker.org/

  9. Comment - Sun Releases Second Java 6 Beta

    1.0 Beta 1 (Jun 21, 2006 - 9:34 PM)

It no doubt will. The old versions have.

  10. Comment - Vista Beta 2 Offered via BitTorrent

    1.0 Beta 1 (Jun 12, 2006 - 10:18 PM)

You might want to try a metalink. It can contain torrent & mirror info.
