erm...shantanu? read my review... there is nothing negative said about MPc, only about the WMP series (windoze media player) and why not write negative comments? that's why ppl write them... :D
MPC: best substitution for WMP or other media players. 5/5
3.1.7 Beta 5 (Mar 4, 2004)
Nicolas Van Der Hack: ur HD is prolly getting bad sectors on it... i had the same thing only with DVDDecrypter, so i don't think dvdshrink's the problem... O yeah, this program is pretty sweet :)
3.2.0.0 (Mar 2, 2004)

9.0 Beta 3 Build 6007 (Jan 21, 2004)
i really really REALLY miss a decent multiple span feature... i'll stick to winrar thank you. (even tough we all started with winzip 4, winrar has far surpassed the once king of archivers.)
1.9.5 (Jan 20, 2004)
Hey, this is actually a pretty sweet program. free, and ez to use. and for Polychronopolis: i dunno if this was available in the previous version, but now u can save ur report by going -> file -> save report to file.
However (and this could be just me), i couldn't find an update feature... 4/5 (and if there is actually an updater thingie; 5/5)

Aside for the prices, for me it's just not done to release a service pack like a month or so after the retail dropped. service packs mean that there were flaws, errors, etc... Yes i know that it's good that they release SP's, but why can't they wait and distribute a COMPLETE product. Microsoft is (al always will be) too fast to release their retail products. that's how it is y'all... thats how it is.

oh people please.. not another BORiNG discussion between Mac & PC. The truth is (and there is no escaping this) that Macintosh are the leaders when it comes to the Graphic industry, very few *serieus* desktop publishers will use a PC for their needs. Having used mac for quite a few years in the industry, I really must say that the Macintosh is a really stable system (but that can vary ofcourse depending on wich sysadmin u have) when used properly. And no, i don't use Mac anymore so there's no gain for me here whatsoever.

Sorry microsoft, but my preferebce really goes out to openoffice... it's no bloatware, easy to use, has many of the key-features of the regular Office and most of all; FREE !!
5/5

same thing happened in Belgium, where a 16year old girl was sued for distribution of a single of the belgian edition of "Idol 2003". the mp3 had a digital watermark (aka fingerprint) and thus the belgian division of riaa made her pay for it. Sorry, but this is absolute madness ! if the mp3's have fingerprints in them (granted, they were sold through the net), what else can they make to spy on us? this isn't about downloading music anymore, it's about plain infringement of the law of privacy... i'm afraid of what next to come !
