  1. Review - Ad Muncher

    4.72 Build 30400 (Apr 28, 2008)

Wow--once again the heavy hand of the BetaNews editors strikes. Many negative and lukewarm reviews (including my own 4-star review) have been removed.

You see, they have to keep software vendors happy by censoring honest feedback. It keeps the gravy train a-rollin'.

Why people of sense continue to participate in this site is beyond me.

  2. Review - WinPatrol

    15.0.2008.0 (Apr 27, 2008)

My goodness what a waste of time this thing is. I installed version 15, only to find it looks exactly the same as version 9 or whatever from a few years ago! I had it set to monitor startup items in "real time", then deleted and added items... Only to find... NOTHING happening! No alerts, nothing. Do I have a mistaken definition of "real time"? Maybe if I took a nap it would have alerted me, but honestly, who needs this crap?

Gee, I hope this is "user error"! I mean, when YOU add new shortcuts to the Startup folder, you get an alert from WinPatrol IMMEDIATELY, right? RIGHT? Sure you do...

  3. Review - KillProcess

    2.43 Alpha (Apr 27, 2008)

You cannot "kill any process with Process Explorer". My good friend darthbeads will be upset to find out that some malware processes and system processes as well are resistant to being killed by Process Explorer.

  4. Review - Comodo BOClean

    4.26 (Apr 27, 2008)

I always knew and stated what a digital turd BOClean was, but the list of those in agreement was a short one, because of the fanboy user base and the complete lack of a trial version. I find it funny how many people agree NOW, given that more people are able to try it.

  5. Review - J. River Media Center

Doesn't have more than WMP... Are you on drugs, or are you a comedian? Or perhaps a drugged comedian?

  6. Comment - Windows Server 2008: To keep things stable, you need new hardware

    12.0.485 (Mar 1, 2008 - 6:25 AM)

Server 2008 is based on Vista, therefore you can expect many of the same issues. I guess Microsoft damage control is trying to pin the blame on inadequate hardware.

Microsoft Vista Windows OS 2025 Xtra Premium Special Edition

    E P I C F A I L !

Even with the reduced prices I still don't want to buy it. Might as well wait until Windows 7 now.

You mean Marketing company Microsoft has no clue what they are doing? I'm shocked
