  1. Review - Spyware Terminator

    1.8.6.988 (Apr 19, 2007)

    @MattLee:

    Exactly what spyware do you claim is in Spyware Terminator? A lot of sources much more reliable than you say there is no spyware or adware in this program. They want people to buy their Corporate edition, so why would they put spyware in their anti-spyware program. You make no sense.

    I have scanned my system with:
    Windows Defender
    Emsisoft A-Squared Free
    Spybot S & D
    Ad-Aware SE Personal
    Yahoo! Anti-Spy
    Spyware Doctor

    None of them found anything.

    So please, backup your claim of integrated spyware.

    This program is great. It has free automatic updates/scanning and real-time shield (including virus scanner via ClamWin and HIPS). And it's free. It is also very easy to use. I recommend it to everyone.

  2. Review - AMD Catalyst Drivers for Windows

    7.4 (Apr 19, 2007)

    @wllweb:

    Uhhh... then post that review on ATI Catalyst Drivers for Windows Vista.

    http://fileforum.betanew...dows_Vista/1058330408/3

    As for the drivers. Meh, they work. They do what they're supposed to.

  3. Review - Comodo Firewall Pro

    2.4.18.184 (Apr 16, 2007)

    @peanutsncheese:

    Don't rate a product poorly just because you can't follow directions.

    1. CFP is not listed as compatible with Vista.

    2. Vista clearly states before using XP compatibility mode that it is NOT recommended for security software.

    ...and you're surprised that something didn't work?

    This firewall is absolutely outstanding. I've been a diehard Kerio user for years, but this one got me to switch. Also check out this website:

    http://www.matousec.com/.../leak-tests-results.php

    It gives a comprehensive list of personal firewalls and how well they stand up to various leak tests.

    Comodo scored the highest in all of their tests.

    For all those looking for a good, Vista-compatible firewall, check out Jetico Personal Firewall. That one scored second highest on the list I linked above. ;-)

  4. Review - Google Pack

    2.1.810.31257 Beta (Apr 1, 2007)

    Don't rate a product low just because you're too dumb to understand it.

    I, personally, would rate this about a 4, but I figured a 5 wou
    ld help (at least a little) to offset your ignorance.

    The point of this pack is that it downloads and installs all the software automatically (no clicking "next" or picking an installation location) and keeps it up to date - you guessed it - automatically.

    It also has two exclusive programs now that you can't get for free anywhere else. Norton Security Scan (blech) and Spyware Doctor Standard Edition. Couldn't care less about the Norton crap, but Spyware Doctor is a great anti-spyware program.

    Google has made all of this software free and (most importantly) easy for the average PC user to use.

    Minus recommending Real Player and Norton, I think it's a great effort by Google to help the computer-illiterate.

  5. Review - AVG Anti-Spyware Pro

    7.5.0.50 (Jan 25, 2007)

    @Satansgeek:

    Have you even tried it in the past 5 months? It hasn't been called Ewido in a long time, and it has been very stable for every computer I have loaded it on.

    That being said, I like Spyware Terminator much better. It is free and is such a complete anti-spyware package I can't believe I haven't been using it longer.

  6. Comment - "EPIC" and "FAIL" make LSSU's 2010 list of banished terms

    This comment == epic fail.

  7. Comment - "EPIC" and "FAIL" make LSSU's 2010 list of banished terms

    7.5.0.50 (Dec 31, 2010 - 4:28 PM)

    I think you meant "2011" in the title and the end of the first sentence. Otherwise, the list only matters for another 7 hours. :-p

    Apple products: a tax on stupid people.

  9. Comment - Let's stop the iPad whining: It's not about the hardware

    7.5.0.50 (Feb 5, 2010 - 3:31 PM)

    Yeah. I really love the Flash on my iPhone. The USB ports and SD card slot are pretty awesome too. I also like being able to multi-task and install any program I want on it. Oh wait... I was thinking of my friends (Android) MyTouch 3G. Only one more year to go on my contract...

    @OneToOne: Literally lol'ed at that. Nice one.
