ever used window blinds?
yeah....
remember all the bugs in it?..
the growing windows?.. how it dont work with some programs?
how sometimes the skin dont maximize with the window? (and while beta testing with windows2000) you cant send jpg, gif, or bmp file atttachments, with window blinds INSTALLED.. it doesnt have to be running just installed.. ask them about these bugs.. they are either working on them or dont acknowledge they exist...
shall i go on?.. my point? dont knock the software untill you use it.. its a good little program they got the idea off of window blinds but what about eFX?..
plus custom eyes is freeware.. it is new it needs a little work and a few skins but that comes with time.. and ver its first public release and at version 0.0p i think its pretty well off so far..
if you dont like the buggy window blinds then give CustomEyes a try.. its worth it..

1.3 Beta 3.4a (Nov 21, 1999)
this is the best pop up program i have ever used.. i used just about all of them, but in someway or another they all gave me problems.. PUK was the fastest but after about 3 weeks of use it stopped starting.. then gave me errors when starting under win2k.. so i decided to go back to noads... its the best and always works.. FULLY configurable if your one of the millions that hate popups then this is for you...

its banned in their dorms?.. now how how in the world do they do that?.. you go buy yourself a computer, a modem, and go to netzero and get FREE internet access... granted its not quad oc-12's that are in the labs, but hey, if you "shotgun" them its a little better, anyway back to my point, you connect to netzero from your dorm on the phone line, dial into napster, do all your mp3 trading... i dont see where ANYONE can tell whether or not your on online, let alone whether its napster, porn, warez, or your email account.
it wasnt this way when i went to college, if i wanted internet then i had to go to the lab or use my phone line in the dorm. but maybe they changed that in the past 3 years.

ok just a little comment.. why the hell is the RIAA sueing napster?.. becuase they put out illegal mp3s?...
i dont think so.. napster has covverd their @sses and put when you log onto their server a disclaimer.. they cant be held responsible for others actions.. all they ahve to do is claim that they try to browse through the libraries of the users and weed out illegal mp3s..
now you and i know that, that is almost virtually impossible to do but all they would have to do is claim that..
and one more thing.. isnt napster world wide?.. i mean i thought i talked to someone in australia and england.. not to mention other countries.. why dont napster move their central office to another country and be done with this united states bull sh!t?.. dont get me wrong i live here and day by day its becoming worse.. the fuc#ing government is taking away right after right.. and before long its gotta stop.. if the RIAA wants to sue someone responsible for letting acess to those mp3s then they need to sue every one involved.. isp, person posting them, person recieving them, phone company for it going through their lines, cable company (for those cable users) and power company (for those powerline users) and if anyone is innonecent of any charges it would be napster.. they speciffically denie the right to post anything illegal in their MOTD when you log on.. and the files are not on their servers.. they are on the users computers.. so WTF did napster do wrong?.. try to pay the bills and run a sucessful business.. lat time i checked the law book trying to make it in this world was not agianst the law..
the RIAA has no case here.. just wasted money.. we (americans) sure waste a lot of fuc#ing money nowadays.. seems to be the trend to follow...

kano says:
anyway. I honestly don't see why people use IE other than the fact that it comes with win98. it's slower and more obnoxious (it doesn't tell you what it's doing; the whole windows update thing).
----------------------
well i dont see why people use windows 98 or 98se in the first place.. :-)
microsoft has always put out buggy stuff only becuase they run the market.. (like it or not its the truth)
netscape biggest plus is that they support other operating systems..
netscape flies in linux and opera is not that bad either.. lynx is good if you dont want grafix but for the most part nescape has been good to me .... real good to me.. i cant complain..
i just wonder what would happen if IE never came with windows.. if these AOL users had to go find their own browser what would they use.. i bet half the idiots out there dont even know there are oher browsers.. and if htey do then they just think its netscape and IE..
not opera, lynx, HotJava, Power Browser, AtomNet, neoplanet, and the list goes on and on...
what would these people be using if microsoft didnt include thier browser?
personally i use IE5 (beta testing with windows 2000 (beta3 - rc-3))and its working just fine.. there are times when i start up the ole' netscape but i dont like the mail client much so its just kidna habit for me to open IE, i dont really think about it much.. i jsut wonder how many other people its a "habit" for....
but when it all comes down to it use what ever you like.. i asked a wise man which browser i should use and he sat em down and told me:
"son, there are many factors to consider.. netscape seems to more on the GUI side and load BIG images a little faster.. IE seems to handle the text and business side of it pretty well..."
i said i didnt quite understand.. then he replied,
"what ever floats your boat, son"

anyway, why dont they get a real isp?..you can pay $22 (usd) a month and you get a community... if you want a community then move into a house in a subdivision... i currently have 56k.. but... i have the dsl people coming in 3 days!!!!!
i use mindspring... their service is number one in customer satisfaction.. and only $20 (usd) a month..
better service, cheaper price, but yet they still opt for AOL?..
i guess i casnt blame them.. if their power switch on the computer didnt say on/off then i doubt they know how to turn on the computer..
bottom line? AOL sux get a real isp...
