  1. Review - Registry First Aid Standard

    3.1.1 Build 320 (Mar 8, 2004)

    Current version is 3.3 released 3/02/04. I gave this prog another chance. Actually I was really bored. I use a seperate hard drive with XP installed and numerous other software installed. I compared to JV16 on a untouched registry. Results: JV16 1.3 v.s. RFA 3.01 - RFA found many more than JV16 & had many more corrections that if not thoroughly reviewed would hose your pc. JV16 as most know is safe for the most part. If you can't make toast and f'ck your pc don't cry to me! ReReviewed Results: JV16 1.4 v.s. RFA 3.3 - RFA found nearly 100 less than JV16 & produced accurate corrections each time, many more corrections than JV16. RFA is the current choice for first scanning your drive for correctable errors & JV16 for the second scan to take out the trash! Tested on same drive using Roxio GoBack for trust worthy results. Yes Roxio sucks!! Testing Drive only!!!

  2. Review - JetAudio Basic

    6.0.0.4225 (Feb 29, 2004)

    These are mislabeled as shareware. To be accurate it is free. The link refers to the free basic version without the BBE sound enhancements. FileForum should correct this continuing inaccuracy. This happens alot, i.e.: Stardock Skin Studio! Not shareware but free nagware. This program still rocks. I did however discover that this sounde best with soundblaster drivers using the Environment Party via S.B settings,not JetAudio. I currently use KxAudio drivers. They have amazing clarity that actually made the extra sound processing of JetAudio overkill. Together they were muddled and very dissapointing. Hence WinAmp5. Little to no prior signal processing letting the KxAudio do it's job. JetAudio is worth while still for you S.B.driver users and for those who demand HiFi, KxAudio users, I would recommend the Premium version of JetAudio as the BBE sound processing along with X-Bass work together in harmony to add a new level off,"Is that your computer speakers playing that song?" "DAMN"!!!

  3. Review - Mozilla Optimizer

    1.5 (Feb 27, 2004)

    For those who don't know how to edit config files in gecko browsers this is for you. Me, I like it because anything that can save me 5min. in editing and is free to boot is worth the download. Modifies (user.js) :// Enable pipelining:
    user_pref("network.http.pipelining", true);
    user_pref("network.http.proxy.pipelining", true);
    user_pref("network.http.pipelining.maxrequests", 8);
    // This one makes a huge difference. Last value in milliseconds (default is 250)
    user_pref("nglayout.initialpaint.delay", 0);
    user_pref("content.notify.ontimer", true);
    user_pref("content.notify.interval", 100);
    user_pref("content.notify.backoffcount", 200);
    user_pref("network.http.max-connections", 60);
    user_pref("network.http.max-connections-per-server", 32);
    user_pref("network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy", 16);
    user_pref("network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server", 8);
    That's the short & sweet of it. Like I said about 5min. if you have more than one gecko browser.

  4. Review - Modem Spy

    3.2 (Feb 18, 2004)

    This program rocks!!

  5. Review - PTBSync

    4.1c (Feb 12, 2004)

    I love this program. It can backlight in any color, change date & time formats, & schedule events. XP built-in? I think not! Problem is I like WindowBlinds 4.2 more and the two are NOT compatible and will hose most skins, screw up your task bar& cause a Major MEMORY LEAK!!! F.Y.I.
