love it!
playlist suggestion:
Usually you don't have to exactly hit the 1px sized spot in the bottom right corner to be able to resize a window both horizontally and vertically.
main window suggestion:
1. Well.. there's a lot of space wasted - that is if you don't use visualization - which probably most people don't. And if you do you probably go for fullscreen visualization. I'd rather have a bigger song timer display.
2. Also I couldn't find an option to turn off the vertical animation showing information about the currently playing song. I don't mind having that information there but I'd prefer having it static like in "not moving!". You might even want to completely hide that information if the playlist window is opened since the information is displayed there as well. And the playlist automatically jumps to the currently playing song if the main window is selected (good).

how do you dare posting such a crap? Seriously! Even the idea of thinking about it should be prosecuted!
To me it looks like you were playing around with the directX API. Great! Keep it to yourself unless it's worthy showing to others. At the moment this is a long long road for you to go.
Keep it at codeplex. And maybe someone takes interest in your work.. maybe not. But out of a non-developer perspective (don't get me wrong - I'm a developer myself) this is definitely not the right place to show off your tiny little efforts.

i wonder where these files come from... I really do.
Application is excellent - the source is untrustworthy.

in the meantime it is possible to use drag & drop to play files within the player and the installation routine also asks for file association (audio/video) - this could be more specific.
basically it's a stripped down version of vlc. There's not much more than play and stop. Probably works for the majority of users.
3 stars because I cannot see the necessity/specialty of the application.

if their VP7 doesn't offer what they proclaim it does.. especially the excellent quality at very low bitrates (that's what it's all about).. they really are in a bad situation. There's no market for a just as good as any other but not standard compliant product.
