  1. Review - Forgotten FTP Password

    1.0 Beta (Jul 1, 2002)

I am Paul, the author of the program. Please try the program yourself, don't believe that it shows incorrect first letter. It shows just correct, and it was tested on many OS and with *all* popular FTP programs [see the list in the help file]. Many users have tested it and there are no problems discovered. If this guy who posted that comment really took care about it, he also would contact us with relevant information, such as FTP client he used, but he didn't.

  2. Review - Forgotten Mailbox Password

    2.0 (Jun 29, 2002)

Paul's comments. ** SSL or TLS are transport level protocols, they don't deal with passwords at all. Simply put, you uncheck "use SSL" checkbox in your email client, and then receive messages with your email client - and FMP retrievs the password. *** What free utilities? *** No hassle - all is automatic. POP3 server is needed to support any email program. Otherwise you end up in writing a hack for every specific email client - it is not always possible. *** From your point of view there is no need in Windows, as there is a free Linux :) *** This is a multithreaded server with full POP3 support, visual management, no mem leaks, etc. What hour?

  3. Review - Email Not HTML

    2.0 Beta (Jun 1, 2002)

I am the author of the program.

why would I pay for software that does what I can set in OE's options?
    ----
Unfortunately, OE has so many security flaws, that setting
just right options won't help. Each version of OE has different holes, eg OE 2002 has tag buffer overflow,
5.x versions have iframe + MIME header problems, there is nothing required to run the virus - neither opening an attachment nor having JavaScript turning on. Also in many versions (still in use) disabling JavaScript will disable that in the browser.
There are number of other problems as well. Please see bugtrack or CERT sites for complete list.

Sorry, I had to give it a rating of 5, but I am sure I am fair.
