Great little app. 1.1.2 is nearly perfect, everything works. You don't need to use limited dialup Internet for NetMeter to be useful. I have unlimited 5mb/s cable, and find it useful to help diagnose problems, and determine my general connection health. It's also good for estimating D/L time for large downloads. I especially like the way NetMeter uses an INI file, making it portable. I also like the fade-in and click-through features, and the toggle up/down from the tray. My only wishes? Issue a no-install ZIP (or even better, a RAR) version. Integrate the TLG file into the INI file, if possible. |

I've been using 0.9.9.9 b2 for years and love it. I was just hoping that he would finish off the program - and that he has now. The transparency, always on top and click through support make this incredibly useful and not too intrusive to the workspace. The easy to read reports are also very useful. |

Having problems with the beta but I'll still rate it a 5. In 1.0.0 I could display the current upload/download speed and totals in the graph window, but to make that work in this version I have to select 'use old display units' otherwise, the data is not displayed even when selected. Keep up the good work! Look forward to 1.1.0 gold. |

Does the trick and it's free! Still for power users look for Net Limiter, i think they have a free and a pro version... the pro enables you to set limits and grants on your connection, and program by program, firewall, etc. |

I have a DU Meter license (from years ago...), but I use NetMeter instead. It does what DU Meter does, and provides more interface options. DU Meter has been stagnant for eons. |

Spend 10 minutes playing with the options in NetMeter and you will be impressed with the results. I've used NetMeter for about 2 or so years and it just works. I think the support is non existant and emails to the author bounce but the program doesn't really need anything else so who cares ... With that said, anyone know how to remove/make transparent/change the colour of the NetMeter window border ? :-P |

EXCELLENT. If you have wondered if there was a freeware alternative to DU Meter, then wonder no more. This is it. It is DU Meter and more. It has all the same features as DU Meter, all the same monitoring, all the same logging...but one thing that this has that DU Meter doesnt is complete graphical modification. You can change the colors and fonts you want. Its great. And with the right moidifcations you can make it look exactly like DU Meter...id say it can become 99% like it....the extra 1% comes from little things that arent a big deal. FYI: DU Meter uses Tahoma as its font :). |

Brilliant program. Free, does the job it sets out to do, loaded with features, but without being bloated - it is small on resources & fast. The only other feature I could want is an audible warning when traffic stops - would be handy to switch that on when starting a big download, then you can leave the PC & would hear when a traffic outage of more than x seconds had occured. |

Amazingly good clone of DUMeter! I've tried many free/pay network speed monitors and kept going back to DUMeter because it just looked and worked the way I liked. When I first saw NetMeter, I thought it should be named "Yet Another Net Meter" but I noticed all the good reviews and ratings. There are certainly a few stupid reviewers on this site but when everybody starts saying the same thing, you know something is up. Within 5 minutes of downloading it, I was in love. Why would anyone pay for DUMeter anymore?? |

I just found out a feature that DUMeter can only dream of. Click-through and automatic fading with mouse-over! So now I can have NetMeter to be always on-top and it will never interfere with my applications. Most excellent! Kudos to the developer for a neat idea! |

Nice, but needs work yet. Doesn't lock on to actual net speed. Also the colors get wierd after awhile. I started getting yellow color bands near the bottom, that didn't seem to be related to anything. I like that it's a resizable window. |

Great little connection monitoring program. Lots of features and free - that's tough to beat. 5 stars here. To those who are complaining because it's a DU Meter rip - who cares??! I liked this program even when it didn't keep track of the "totals". Now I think the only thing that the author might consider adding is an update interval setting to reduce CPU load. Granted it only uses about 1% of mine, but if it's possible to make it lower, I would consider the program to be near perfect. |

I'm very impressed with this app. I just got dsl and was gonna find a program to monitor my traffic. I wanted to find out exactly what my transfer rates were because I am paying additional for an upgraded dsl line. It shows me everything I need regarding my internet connection activity. The app is small and takes up little resources. Thanks to the author for providing it free for my use. |

Cool little app. It's a "1 File Wonder". All that's needed is the EXE file. Install the app, copy the EXE anywhere, then uninstall the app. I put it a folder of other 1 file EXE's. |

Yes, its an DU Meter copy. But better. In half of the size its packs more fetaures ( since this version ) and its free! Very nice. A must for connection monitoring. |

...seems a rip of DU meters to me... however it's free and has less features than DU meter. Runs smooth on my machine also tested on p3-600 and runs fine there too. Using Winxp sp1. Netmeters does what it suppose to do, so i give 4/5 (not 5/5 since to me sounds a rip of Dumeter). |
