The licence should be changed from Adware to Freeware as it no longer contains ads. I been using 7.2 for a bit upgraded to 8.0 yesterday and some nice changes added. most of all i like is i can download music from this, for free, legally so i wont get sent letters or get fined or get sent ot jail or whatever |

From the people who hijacked the Shareaza domain, infringed on their Shareaza's copyright and the GPL, are trying to trademark/steal their name and defrauded users with identity theft, all using their Cyprus shell company. iMesh should be banned from Betanews. |

I don't think people actually download this program, because to post "SPyware, Adware" etc ... is a lie, i may not like iMesh but this version is 100% clean of any ads or spyware. No application or video search. |

use this now because it is completly free then download like hell and burn then if you want share else where but it is still free average speed for dsl in 14 ks for each download and the max number of download that stay that way is about 10. ohh and the screenshot is very old more than 2 years old. the new Imesh looks like napster but with better colors(pay napster) and it is free. |

Okay, then please explain what's at the bottom of the screenshot? int13h: "A great collection of music in high quality, nice and easy interface, great website. It crashes once in a while, though, and sometimes takes a lot of CPU." So besides those "minor" flaws you still give it a 5 point rating. Sigh. |

Search results are terrible, and files don't seem to download. There is mutch better, less hassle ways to download files, morpheus 5 for example. |

It works, I suppose. A decent file sharing application in terms of searches, connections, and interface. I advise BearShare Professional or some other type of "Lite" edition of a similar program. |

I think imesh has come a long way since 4.5 and even 5,it connects to all 3 major network in no time,searches are good,and so is download speed,but got to say,still seems second fiddle to likes of morpheus5 and l;imewire4.9 |

Not 100% clean like the home page says. Still has an iMeshBar (MySearch bar Browser Hijacker Spyware) and Cydoor Adware. The program itself is very bulky,takes almost 4 minutes to startup, uses a lot of CPU about 90% even when it is not connected. Very difficult to get the program to connect and the search results are usually blacked out. You have to restart the program to fix the problem then it will eventually come back again. Many failed downloads from the Gnutella Networks. You might be able to get a complete download 1 out of every 5 attempts. Program is very slow and not very Windows friendly. It tends to lock up with having to end process with the task manager. After installing upon the first reboot, I had missing files in system 32 folder, Norton Go Back replaced them. This program is a piece of JUNK and should be removed from this site. |

whenever you see all yellow bars and unbeleivable ratings, you know its rig by those who have no clue in beta testing or its the developers who are boosting their ratings under alias names. iMesh is an great filesharing client. But it suffers from the well know spyware. Of course There is an Lite version (Light), just do google. |

These all in one p2p apps never seem to work correctly. Tried getting a file that it said was on edonkey but it wouldn't download it. So I installed edonkey and it did. One size does not fit all. |

Just downloaded this thing...and after I installed it, did a check for spyware, and didn't come up with anything. I think there are other better P2P progies out there, like Cabos. But all in all this isn't to bad. |

It's an ok aplication, but it is filled with spiware. When I scanned my system with add aware after instaling Imesh, I found over 100 objects in the registry. Wait for the lite version which should be released at http://www.imesh-light.com |

Why are you surprised at the adware? All of this file sharing junk installs malware of varying descriptions. That's why this type of garbage is banned on my home network - period. This is not to say that I'm a RIAA shill - quite the opposite, actually. However crap like this is the computer equivalent of unprotected sex - not a good idea if you value system integrity. |

I wanted to install something new, so I checked it out. It installed ad-ware and was popping up full screen ads, blocking all vision, how nice. I quickly uninstalled imesh, however it does not uninstall its ad-ware, gee thanks. Its funny because the site says it has no spy-ware, sure thats because the site does not consider it spy-ware, that does not mean it is not. Don't believe everything you hear. |

I think the new version is a vast improvement over the last version and runs MUCH BETTER! One thing i must say i do not like about BetaNews is the fact that the pre-beta 1.02 votes get counted in with the 3.0 etc votes... There 2 different editions why have the voting count it's unfair in my opinion. |
