brusco,

Let's take an example, shall we?

Here's an average smoker who spends $6.58 a day for 2 packs cigarettes, that's about $46.06 a week.

Patches and gums costs about the same or more that what the smoker pays for. I've seen a box of patches that is a 7 day supply for $39.99, WTF?

Why is it that some Health Care system or company or whatever it may be, must charge a ridiculous amount of money in order to help an individual quit smoking?

If the health care system really wants the world to quit smoking and put the tobacco companies out of business, they should at least make the patches or gums or pills free so the smokers can take advantage of it and get themselves healthier.

What the hell planet are you living on? You said:

Well boo-hoo Shirley! Doctors, Pharmacys, Hospitals profit from peoples health, or lack thereof, and yes even the cigarette companies do. so you should try and direct some of that misguided stupidity at the cigarette companies. People like you defy the logic of Darwin.

You obviously have been shielded from the real paying world for too long by your parents or whomever you mooch off.

I just think this app should be freeware, but I don't have a problem with shareware.

Thing is, stuff that is smoke related, medicine or software alike, should be free in order to help people prevent have health problems in the future.

I am just a bit disturbed that people would have to profit off someone due to a health related reason.
