EDIT 2: Problem gone with subsequent MS release.

EDIT: one tiny glitch... Malicious Software Removal Tool earlier version installed(if you allow it of course). Just run MS/Windows Update afterwards to install the latest-- btw takes a very, very long time for the latest version to install.

Autopatcher Updater is fantastic & efficient.

Kindly please disregard 'ignorant slut' review below: date is actually October twenty-something.
Autopatcher Updater will always retrieve what's latest and missing... at any rate, an incorrect date would be more of BetaNews' fault: how unfair to penalize Autopatcher folks for this...and to boot-- w/o even having tried the product.

This is where you as the reader have to discernedly separate the wheat from the chaff: ignore the morons who post reviews w/o obviously having tried the item.

Autopatcher Updater is running very well on Vista.

And what we really like about it is that it caught a slew of updates MS Update missed, BUT even better-- some stuff Adobe Updater missed...and STILL BETTER: all possible Office updates & addons... set it and forget it. IF you wanted to do this last thing on your own, it would take you hours to find & install-- while likely missing some items in the process.

The ONLY negative: if you have Flash 10 installed, it offers v9...but that fault lies more with Adobe-- as there are a slew of websites that also don't see Flash 10 installed: throwing a message that content does not play because Flash is missing.
BTW no such issue re Shockwave.

Considering the date on this why was it posted?

on xp getting a verification failed error box..one or more files has failed verification. this will be for one of the updates downloaded from microsoft's server. to sum up, the program failed at the first hurdle. this problem needs correcting before a software release as its not a beta version.
