Com-port devices are still wide-spread and are used in industry, education, science, observation and monitoring branches, even games and mobile technologies branches. At a time we can observe every day growing virtualization tendency. Serial port devices are requested on virtual platforms now. Together with this, such strong tendency exists as getting remote access and the ability to reach many devices on one computer (e.g. operators in the laboratories).
