Very restrictive. DRM approved software. Avoid like a plague. Waste of money.

The thing is, there are only like 3 PC software players with full blu-ray support and none of them are free. I prefer TotalMedia Theatre 5 myself though.

Another dying industry. Windows can play DVDs natively now, there is no longer a need for programs like this any more than there's a need for the hardware DVD decoder cards that used to plug into a PCI slot.

With all the other methods out there for playing a DVD, why would you resort to this? It does work. 3 stars for that. But between mpc, vlc, mplayer and wmp, why would you install this?

Mind blowingly bloatware.

Use MPC-HC, instead.

WORTHLESS for playing Blu-Ray. I can't understand why so many people gave this positive reviews. I tried it because it claimed to play Blu-Ray Movies and be integrated with Windows 7 Media Center. It's "integration" is a JOKE, all it does once you click the icon in Media Center is minimize Media Center and open the program in Full Screen Mode in Windows. The worst part is that when I tried to play a simple Blu-Ray movie that has been out for a year, a message comes on the screen saying "Media Not Supported". I'm glad I tried the free trial and not bought the thing.

I've tried other Corel products and what one of the other reviewers said about how "Corel is where once great software programs go to die" is totally correct.

There were only two reasons to use WinDVD: upscaling and TrimensionDNM.
Without these two features WinDVD was a complete waste of time. It's nice to see that v. 2010 is a much nicer and smoother player. Yes, it's big and the download may seem bulky, but after starting to hate the previous versions, this newest one surprised me by how good the program really is. It's not quite perfect yet, but it is excellent and very much better than v.9.
If you've come to hate WinDVD because of the older versions, try this one and you may love it again.
I can't give it 4.5 out of 5, so I'm giving it 5.

Helps you. The other s are not professional.
It makes your eyes understand real movie standarts.
There are freewares and sharewares. If you have one of them your machine will stand alive.Which one if you have windvd plus. I have one from ibm laptop works fine and keeps my laptop young and helps me. You dont need to install any codecs. No trouble yes succesfull.

I've been using WinDVD for some years now, and I have to agree with some of the reviews previous to mine. For one, a 180 meg download is ludicrous. Once installed, the program comes up way short in function. Open source always opens to the same location even if you store your movies elsewhere, and there is no place to set that. Second, I never understood why the Interactual player gets installed along with WinDVD since they both play DVD's.... am I missing something here? Finally, the installation size compared to something like VLC or Media Player Classic, or even Media PLayer (installed already with Windows) is insanely large. Download a codec pack like K-Lite which is half the size or smaller, and all the codecs you need are installed to view DVD's, Xvid, Divx, etc etc.

Avoid this. It's so not worth the shareware nags, or paying the high price to clutter up your System.

Useless.
WinDVD stopped being a good product many years ago.
