Publisher's Description
DarkWave Studio is an open source (GPLv3) digital audio workstation / modular virtual studio for Windows. You can easily use the built in sequencer, bundled DarkPlug machines and third-party VST effects and VSTi instruments to create music. DarkWave Studio allows the connection of machines in an ad-hoc fashion. The installer ships with both a 32-bit and 64-bit version.

"Removed the hugely unpopular OpenCandy. DarkWave Studio Is now pure Freeware with no advertising bundled with the installer."
Installed it and no adware etc found

I've seen the good rating and have tried to install this software on multiple occasions but it crashes on startup every time across multiple systems. Also installs conduit but it is quite easy to uncheck.

Haven't tried this in several versions now, but the change log says the change for 4.3 was removing the adware...that's a surprise.

I've tried to download it, but found it just a web installer bundled lots of crapware. The main Darkwave program seemed not functioning. Help file couldn't open, too.
