I like hte idea of the program(I haven't tried it yet, but I'm going to)
Reason: Updated to DX9.0b now my tv tuner in my ATI all in wonder can't tune. so I think thats a good reason to use a program like this :-)

now why exactly would anyone want to remove his directx installation to install an older version? and if you have an older version and want to upgrade, then you don't need this util anyway. directx is an important system component, really, who's courageous or rather dumb enough to play with it and thus endanger your windows installation? not me

I should have said : Works well for DirectX 9 with Windows 98.
