I can't live without this. Why a multi-element clipboard isn't already built in to Windows, I don't know - but this integrates so sweetly it feels as tho' it is part of Windows.

I've been using it for about two years now. I don't have any complains about it. Btw, the current version is 3.17.00.17 (12-23-10, see http://ditto-cp.sourceforge.net/#Change%20History ) Five stars! :-)

Not a bad program. Though weighing in at 2+Megs vs CLCL v1.12 @ ~200KB, and less featureful than CLCL which hasn't even been updated since 2005. On the plus, looks good and intuitive, easier to use out of the box and has help documentation.

Very nice but still will not display bmp in window and they still are all named cf_bfid (whatever). Has a few themes too (nighted is nice). The number of settings (countless) is almost bewildering. clipx is far from perfect but is much simpler & I don't have to wonder what cf_fid looks like.

This is a great productivity tool. Not perfect, but close to it and free!

Changes since version 3.15.04.0:

3.16.7.0 4-23-09
- Added DittoUtil Addin, adds the ability to paste any clip type as text

3.16.4.0 3-14-09
- Fixed SetFocus fix in ActivateTarget -- needed AttachThreadInput
- Added the ability to create add-ins, called before an item is pasted
- Fixed issue with getting the currently focused window when not using the hook dll
- Updated italiano language file
- Added option to paste from hot key, press multiple times to move the selection, release the modifer key (control, shift, alt) to paste
- Fixed word wrap option to reload correctly
- Fixed issues with loading cut copy buffer 3 correctly from config on restart
- Check if key is up before sending key up command. This was causing problems if an app is listening to global key up commands
- Updated to sqlite version 3.16.10

I use ClipX myself. I tried this a few months ago and got rid of it in minutes. Thought I'd try it again today when I saw the new version, and man, it's come a long way. This is a very good clipboard program now, and it a fairly short time. anomoly's review was a bit harsh, 5 clicks to what??? The comment about the thumbnails I have to agree with though. Anyway, I rate it 5 for both the distance it's come in the few months since I last tried it and how nice it is to use now.

Change log in 3.15.4.0 01-16-08
- Fixed empty directory from being created in application data in stand alone version
- Added themes (http://ditto-cp.wiki.sourceforge.net/Themes)
- Updated to latest sqlite db version
- When creating a new db auto vacuum is set. Or when doing a compact and repair.

Freeware from sourceforge. That's a first.
I use clipx but will give this a go. (again)
Same as last time. Copying a picture produces a much too small (incomprehensible) bitmap with the title "CF_DIB" (wtf is that?)and this alone makes it a worthless program compared to clipx which will show the picture in any size you like. Clipx also has a stickie plugin which is good for something you always don't want to type (but are asked to do so consistently like an email addy).
Plus ditto starts out with some weird a** font that is totally unreadable and you must select a 'custom' (as in english) font.
Fix the copying a picture issue so that you can click the tray icon and you see a smaller version of the image. I really don't need a cf_dib title for every unrecognizable picture I copy. I like the always stay connected to clipboard option but the program is rather useless compared to the simplicity & usefulness of clipx. Really, 100 options for a clipboard manager and you can't even use it without 5 mouseclicks for every entry?

Now this is a perfect simple clipboard extender I was looking for ages. No big, huge, unwanted features list. And its FREE unlike bulky commercial solutions.
