Publisher's Description

IObit Uninstaller helps you uninstall and remove unwanted programs and folders from your computer fast and easily. Where the built-in and sluggish "Windows Add or Remove Programs" option fails, IObit Uninstaller works as always and picks up the slack. What's better, it is a free Uninstaller without installation.

Works well. Sent feedback to Dev. Nice GUI, clean and fresh. (5 Beta 1.0).

Don't know what the reviewers were thinking who gave 1-Star, but this is a solid and free 32/64-bit uninstaller. Everybody should have it just for the deep cleaning alone.

@NyaR
I couldn't agree more- after version 2 IObit Uninstaller has evolved into a piece of ad-ware junk.

I used to love this program, and I still think the old versions kick ass.

However this program is crap now and I will list why:

It used to be a small .exe standalone that you could extract to desktop and double click. However, as of one of the last versions, double clicking this app causes it to install in /programfiles and create a startup "liveupdate" item. Furthermore it feeds advertisement popups after the program has been clearly closed, such as promote-upx.exe in the tmp folder which promotes their Driver Booster (After iobit uninstaller is closed!).

Uninstalling iobit uninstaller does not remove the liveupodate or the uninstallpromote ghosts, which stay behind.

In conclusion: iobit uninstaller was great, now it is a total POS that does not deserve data space on my hard drive.

Look into "Geek Uninstaller" instead.

GUI is a bit nicer in this release, still works great. Only complaint is, it's a lot larger than a couple of other free 1 file uninstallers, but still not huge at 8mb.

Does a good job on both 32 bit and 64 bit systems and it is free, a excellent program I have used a long time with no problems...

I' not certain who is doing the descriptions, or the reviewing, but both parties seem to be high.

The current revision, obtained when using the page link here, is 2.4.7.340. It is the same as when going directly to IOBit for the file. This is today - 3-7-2013.

This is a fine program, which, unlike the free version of Revo Uninstaller, works on 64 bit programs, as well as 32 bit. That alone should make it the premier choice of everyone.

Absolutely love this program, the "batch mode" uninstall feature works great to unclutter an existing PC. Not perfect by any means, but gets most leftover program folders/registry entries left behind. As with similar programs, you still need to manually weed out program data/app data/registry locations for remnants. I love that you can also uninstall certain third party toolbars/BHO also. This is a great PC technician tool for your USB flash drive.

The fact that on any IOBIT software release there are a profusion of fake reviews is reason enough to avoid this company as it seems they have no ethics whatsoever.

They also assume we are a set of idiots not to notice.

After re-evaluating it is very good, why they annoy people with fakes eludes me.

[Editor's note: There were numerous fake reviews for this product, all have been removed.]

Nice! No install, runs from a single EXE file. Categorizes your installed programs into "Large", "Infrequently used" etc. Nothing to dislike about this program, and being a 1 file wonder is a nice bonus. 4.5 stars.
