I wouldn't install this piece of garbage at all. It has tons of bugs and is has of glitches galore. I would probably wait a few months until they work out those issues.

I never usually post anything in this area, but having tried the "Webroot SecureAnywhere" suggestion after reading all the amazing reviews from PC Mag, etc., I just had to say something. Try this...

1. Install Webroot trial (anti-virus is what I tried)
2. Once installed and running, download any "crack" rar from any newsgroup
3. Unzip the EXE (which is guaranteed to be a trojan)
RESULT: Nothing from Webroot
4. Right click on the EXE and select "scan using Webroot"
RESULT: No virus, you're all good
5. Right click on the EXE and scan using this new Kaspersky, or Malware bytes, or ANY other anti-virus scanner...
RESULT: Major virus warning, delete now!, etc.

TO BE CLEAR: The crack example above is simply that. Being a software author myself, I do NOT condone cracks or pirating of any kind.

@Music4Ever
Your smoking CR@CK if you think any product from Webroot is better then Kaspersky. The fact is BitDefender and Kaspersky have the two best detection engines (and repair) on the Market, period.

Kaspersky One Universal (which is basically the same as this) protects your PC, Mac, Smartphones and Android Tables all in one solution.... Though I use BitDefender IS 2011, due to it's performance advantage... Kaspersky still has the Highest Test Ratings in the Market. (Checkout av-test.org or av-comparatives.org).

Webroot scores well below industry average (in Windows 7) in removal of all active components of widespread malware (including Rootkits and stealth malware) and removal of further malicious components and remediation of critical system modifications.

Note: If a person is using Windows XP then Webroot comes closer to Industry Standard Ratings, but falls well below Industry Standard Ratings in Windows 7.

Panda Cloud Antivirus 1.5 Free scores better then Webroot in Windows 7. lol

Webroot SecureAnywhere beats this hands down - Totally cloud based & a billion times smaller - You can also control all PC's protected with it including mobiles.

@Dark Wizard - Webroot SecureAnywhere is based on the Prevx engine which has been first class for years, it wasn't dreamed up yesterday.

Those are your opinions you posted not 'fact' - Typing 'period' after a sentence does not increase the validity of your review - It depends greatly on which AV reviews you read to be honest - You are entitled to your opinion but having used just about every AV on the planet since F-Prot for DOS I think you are quite wrong - My opinions are as valid as yours or anyones.

The Kaspersky firewall was easily taken out for years though it seems they may have finally got their act together on that one but only recently.

I assume you have used SecureAnywhere? Or is your opinion based on reviews your read or limited personal experience - Cloud based is the way forward - Remember you read that >here<

As for BitDefender it has the greatest FP's on earth & has had for years - That is frankly a piece of junk. If you want a local sig based AV use 'Eset'

And I don't smoke.

@mmondry - If you are stupid enough to download illegal 'cracks' you deserve all you get & more - I stand by my review & time will tell - I also use Malwarebytes along with Trojan Remover, if you really think 'ANY' AV will save you from the lack of safe surfing you are mistaken -

As for your - '1 - 5 AV comparison test' - You obviously have no idea how Webroot actually works - I suggest you read up on that - As for your point no. '5' - You seem some kind of beginner to PC's & it's obviously not your employment!

The best form of AV is to use a Linux derivative - Some intelligence is required though ;-)

And for the record have you actually installed ' Kaspersky Total Security ' ?

Pros: It is a very nice program overall.

Cons: There are quite a few bugs like when you go into amazon and you click on your cart It asks you to run in safe mode don't do It. It crashed Windows completely. You better just uninstall the program.

The screen that popped up was a green screen. Use this program at your own risk. It will damage your PC.

Bottom Line: I wouldn't install this piece of garbage at all. It has tons of bugs and is has of glitches galore. I would probably wait a few months until they work out those issues.
