Publisher's Description
LAV Filters are a set of open-source DirectShow filters, aimed to eventually replace the better part of the playback chain required to play all and any modern media. LAV Splitter is a Souce Filter/Splitter required to demux the files into their separate elementary streams.

This is one of the main codec that comes installed with Zoom Player and it works well.

LAV for me, is hands down, a far better alternative to FFDShow. Both the Audio & Video filters work great. That coupled with MPC-HC, ac3 FIlter, & MadVR, makes one seriously good media package. LAV continues to improve, and it plays back almost every different type of codec I can think of. I'm hoping maybe they'll think of adding an equalizer, along with the audio filter. I don't know how possible that is, but it's something to certainly be considered. I'm very happy running these filters on my system in a portable setting. Highly recommended.

After installed, broke subtitles sync. I use SubtitlePlayer on WinXP.

The LAV filters work great. They're a really good alternative to FFDShow. At some point, I expect these to replace FFDshow. The only area I would like to see improvement in, is the the audio decoder. While it does work just fine, I would love to see some kind of built-in equalizer w/ presets at some point. I think that would come in handy for a lot of users because most people use either MPC-HC or PotPlayer. MPC-HC has no equalizer feature, and while PotPlayer does have one, it's extremely weak. Until such a thing happens, I'll stick with using the FFDShow audio decoder for the time being. For everything else, LAV works brilliantly. Definitely recommended.

The way forward in audio and video decoding. These filters, along with MPC-HC are perfect for my needs.
