Works fine on my win 7 ssd... Besides there are rootkits that this can not detect... But Defense Wall stops them ever being installed.. in my tests I have not seen a rootkit that gets past Defense Wall.

I just tried the Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit 1.08.0.1001 Beta and it wil not scan the SSD I use forWindows 7. I've updated the database of version 107.0.1012 and that version scans the disk with no problem. Malwarebytes is a great program but the people at MWB need to take a look at the newest beta.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. Stupid me got a very nasty malware infection and had a locked folder leftover, meaning the malware was still active, although tamed after an anti-virus cleanup. I tried countless programs to get it fully removed off the system and this one FINALLY did the trick.

As below whats with all the Malwarebytes add-ons even when you have purchased the 'Pro' version? They are available from the 'More Tools' tab of Mbam but I feel they should be integrated into Mbam.

How many scans are we expected to do - An anti-malware program should scan for root-kits as a matter of course not some extra add-on!

On a supposedly "clean" system with Malwarebytes and Kaspersky Internet Security already installed...it found over 2800 malware files...all labeled "Trojan.Downloader.Ed".

Even "clean" motherboard utilities like the ASUS AI suite are marked for "cleaning".

Definitely not ready for prime time...

the fact that we even need this program kinda sucks. but this is a great one to have and will save your butt when the time comes.

Installed & ran without problems, it also left little behind, as I don't have any Rootkits it's difficult to say how well it removes them but based on using Mbam for many years it should be a very good addition to malware removal & occasional check, though the program can be run on boot-up.
