Malwarebytes Premium 4.5.8.191 Crack Latest is an antimalware program that can thoroughly remove even the most advanced malware. It detects and removes malware where even the best-known antivirus and antimalware software fail. The application monitors every process and stops malicious processes before they even start.

Many Internet users are afraid of Trojans as they ruin their data and directories. Then you can download this crack from Malwarebytes. You can simply download this Malwarebytes anti-malware crack app on your computer. It is much easier to create luxuries than to get better papers detached due to damage from Trojans.

Malwarebytes Keygen
Malwarebytes has removed the anti-malware name but remains a powerful tool for fighting and protecting PCs from malware. The version is designed with four modules for PC protection. That is Anti-ransomware, anti-malware, anti-exploit, and malicious website protection. Malwarebytes key now has also fixed several errors that were present in the previous versions. They include shutdown issues in windows 7 and conflict with Kaspersky.

This priceless threat data give us unbelievable insight into what’s an occurrence at the present, in immediate. Not only that, but this virus can also assault the windows operating scheme that making the records and individual data become tainted or corrupted. The bottomless and heuristic test of the device appraisal the registry, record system, or events overloaded into the storage space area. In addition, examine on the web have very high-quality comments concerning Malwarebytes Activation Key. You require to make use of this software.

When it restarted I entered my license info and it told me that it was being used on too many machines.
I have it on three machines, which is allowed under my service agreement. I purchased the software years ago when they offered a lifetime license for three machines.
No idea what is going on as they have no re0plied to my support ticket.

Years after trying to use MBAM to remove malware from a friend's computer--and finding it completely useless for that task--I set up a VM and gave it another shot. I purposely found and placed two malicious applications on the VM; both were unknown to all scanners on VirusTotal, except for one generic detection (which was probably just a lucky guess). MBAM was oblivious to both as well. I activated each of the two malicious applications, and saw the resultant network activity, and MBAM remained utterly silent, even after a manual scan. Then I reset the VM and placed a well-known malware sample. MBAM seemed to detect it, but crashed and could not remove it. I rebooted, and the process repeated.

MBAM is pure garbage, but Malwarebytes has an astonishingly aggressive and effective marketing campaign in place. And there is an army of fools who just cannot tell how useless it is.

Gets better with every update. Sure, version 3 was a little sluggish at first, but it seems fairly light now, especially considering that it CAN replace your AV.

A little pricey if you are not grandfathered in on the lifetime updates as I was, but most of the top AV are comparatively priced. You cannot beat it's Malware detection and repair. I have used it for years and have fixed many infected computers with MBAM

Pros: Protects you from advanced (zero-day) threats, including ransomware, so you can surf the Web without worry
Removes all traces of malware for complete safety
Removes potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) that make your computer run poorly
Scans fast so you do not have to sit around and wait for your security to finish working
Easy to use, just set it and forget it
Can replace antivirus or run alongside other antivirus programs

Cons: Against the malware and threat of zero hours, it also improves the research.

Pros: not what it use to be, to me it is junk. I use to have it years ago when it was very good and sold a forever license. Since their new version has come on, they no longer honor the forever license and it is way more trouble than it is worth. I uninstalled it with little to no problem and never looked back, it is still nothing but trouble and not nearly as good as IObit's advanced system care and their Malware
fighter. Which is also a antivirus software and a great cleaner. You can try it for 14 days I think, I buy mine and have been using it all for about 5 years now, their software is good, does the job and does it well and I have never looked back. Also are very excellent is Privazer and CCleaner, bleachbit........ Malwarebytes is little more than junk made to look good.

Pros: Working Correctly Finally!!

Cons: Too many releases to get Version 3 reliable

Bottom Line: Another Version 3 update today. I haven't had any problems with the last 2 versions myself BUT why so many tries to get this working properly? I don't see many posts on the Malwarebytes forum today about people having problems with this new version. Thankfully I bought a lifetime license when they were available, otherwise I may have moved on to another more reliable released product!

Yet another update, still fixing bugs that should have been sorted before the final was released, as I remember last August? The original team who worked on version 3 ought to consider different employment, not nice to say but probably true. Malwarebytes reputation has been flushed by themselves down the toilet.

Read the ongoing issues on their forum. Being kind with three stars, fact that Mbam is no longer a permanent protection on any of my units says it all.

A possible reason for the ongoing problems is that the software engineers at Mbam are incapable of doing the job they are employed to do, trying their best maybe but best but fail - Happens with plumbers, joiners, mechanics too.

With this update I still get web protection not being on when starting the program, not really a problem anymore as Zemana does what Mbam used to do (doh) Not going to review his program again as I now rarely use it.

@DKDude - Agree totally.

Malwarebytes is a GOOD program, the problem I see right now is the V3 team keeps putting out Beta like versions that are NOT ready for prime time, they are NOT doing a good job of testing and keep asking end users for logs to help them resolve issues, I have a lifetime license but people using yearly licenses I'm sure as pissed off with what Malwarebytes is doing...

Go to the forum before you decide to throw $39.99 a year after this.
https://forums.malwareby...orum/41-malwarebytes-30/

I'm a longtime big fan of Malwarebytes, have premium on all my computers, but this V3 has to be the worst they ever made.

It had bugs to begin with, then they managed to minimize them, but now it's a big pile of crap.

So many issues, you would think they have fired the developers and hired a bunch of monkeys for the job.

$39.99 a year to betatest a broken mess, go find a better and working solution.

One of my license is a lifetime license, I'll keep that to see if they ever get this mess fixed, the other 3 is bought after they ended their lifetime plan, they will not be renewed, I'm done, time to find a better solution.

Music4Ever

Music4Ever reviewed v3.0.6.1469 on Jan 26, 2017

Most issues resolved now, & it seems issues on both my home PC's are sorted. It has taken a month & a half though from initial final to do this. Several on the main forum complaining about high CPU use on manual scanning though seems it's intentional, I suspect an option to change the priority with be forthcoming.

Good anti-malware program though whether it is a replacement to running a standard AV along with it is up to the user, I still do.

'Fixed issue where ‘Real-Time Protection turned off’ notifications would display incorrectly on initial startup' - That's because it was :-)

Still have issue mentioned in changelog above '- Fixed issue where “Real-Time Protection disabled” notifications would display throughout the day (NOTE: this notification may still be seen on reboot on some systems, but we’re working on another longer-term fix to address that separately' (I'm so very happy) This was reported on first beta BTW DKDude.

Seems its mainly with fast SSD's & many others have the same problem along with other unsolved problems, should have stayed in beta longer - Been a fan of this program for many, many years but what idiot thought the version before this was a final?

Solve the bloody problems in beta next time.

DKDude

DKDude reviewed v3.0.5.1299 on Dec 20, 2016

MBAM is still getting better and better, used this from the very early start, and have never had any issues what so ever, my old lifetime license was added without any problems, and now we have MBAE and MBAR too.

Use Malwarebytes software on my phones and tablets too.

Keep up the good work.

Music4Ever

Music4Ever reviewed v3.0.4.1269 on Dec 9, 2016

@Steve1209 - Agree with you regarding beta issues carried on into the final.. I have a problem where the program insists all security setting haven't been set & I get a pop-up on each re-boot. Seems on the forum this is a known problem with the releases build. Not a good idea to release a program with such large problems to the general public as some will try it have problems & never return.

Still needs work & many are having the program use large amounts of RAM among other problems ~ However from memory this has happened several times in the past with early Malwarebytes release builds & betas in the past have always been unusually buggy & more like alpha builds - You might be best to wait a couple of weeks before installing?

Steve1209

Steve1209 reviewed v3.0.4.1269 on Dec 8, 2016

i was trialing the BETA of this program as I have a Lifetime license, the weird thing, this is still a little slow and still has some beta bugs not sure why they released it as a finished product before ALL the bugs were resolved, I think it still needs another round or two to get ALL the beta bugs corrected. I like all the products are included in a single application now. Going to give it a 4 because they released it too early IMHO.

IMO just about the best anti malware product there is - Not perfect but nothing is, it is still none bloated & coexists with just about all AV solutions - I've used Mbam for many, many years & likely always will, other similar products have been tried but still happy with Mbam.

I recommend each & every person whose PC I fix to use the premium version of Mbam because it's still the best.

(to say Mbam is 'garbage' is frankly just silly)

Ignore the two trolls below advertising for other software. This is by far the best freeware Malware Cleaner out there and is rated 4.5 to 5 stars by every reputable reviewer I've read. Like others, I'm not over thrilled with the new look, but for what it does, I can live with it. Scans are quick and accurate, the data base updates regularly. Definitely 5 stars

h8red

h8red reviewed v2.0.4.1028 on Feb 23, 2015

This software is garbage. The prior reviews are correct in that annoying bugs persist over many months. The poorly-named "malicious website blocking" feature is really designed to block P2P software, and it often fails to work. They refuse to fix this.

The malware protection is a joke. I get lots of malware via email, like I'm sure most people do. It goes straight to the junk folder, and of course I delete it. But I often forget to compact the folder (or I just don't get around to it), which means that technically, malware is on my drive. MBAM *never* detects this. I need to run something like EmsiSoft Emergency Kit to detect things like this, just like it never detects OpenCandy or other crap that occasionally accompanies "freeware" installers.

I hate this useless, time- and money-wasting software, and I hate the authors, because they treat customers with contempt.

The only thing the MBAM author got right is having shills all over the place claim that this crapware is actually worth something.

-1

-1 reviewed v2.0.4.1028 on Jan 13, 2015

MBAM is overrated. I've never had malware on any of my PCs (because I'm not an idiot), so I never knew how well this worked until recently.

I was asked to try fixing someone else's Win7 laptop. It was riddled with adware and malware. MBAM detected some of it, but then started telling me that the PC was clean. It was not--far from it. AdwCleaner and HitmanPro each found nastyware that MBAM missed.

Also, the MBAM authors go out of their way to block non-malicious BitTorrent sites, not out of malware concerns, but for "copyright" concerns. Check their forums--they admit it.

Finally, MBAM repeatedly has aggravating issues where malicious website protection stops working. Sometimes a database update fixes it, other times, you have to reinstall. Search their forums for this issue; it's common and they don't care.

kstev99

kstev99 reviewed v2.0.4.1028 on Dec 4, 2014

This is simply the BEST malware remover & preventive. My advice to those who I clean their terribly infected computers is to save your money on Anti-virus programs that you are paying for, use a free one.
INSTEAD, Get the FULL PAID version of Malwarebytes instead and you're good to go.

Think about it, while there ARE some viruses in the wild, the majority of people are infected with simple malware, adware, popups etc.not destructive viruses. This is, in my opinion, the best tool for the job.

Yet another great program shoots itself with an atrocious new UI that looks like it was designed by Fischer Price. Not only are there big bars telling me I'm not fully protected(when all I want to do is a simple scan) but it has headlines stream across the bottom bar of the program, and that's with a Pro license. It has also gone the Skype route in that the close button no longer closes the program but instead minimizes it to the tray.

The change from the old 1.xx to the new 2.xx was a smooth ride, not a single problem, even the change from old to new license-key was handled automatically, hands down still best.

The new UI is a bit Win 8ish but I can live with it - Big improvements throughout the program are worthwhile - Still the best anti-malware program out there - I wouldn't be surprised if there is another update shortly but kooks like most of the beta issues were sorted - Now has a 1 year 3 PC licence, so nows the time to grab any lifetime licenses around as they will be honoured for all time.

I'm giving version 2 a rating of 3 right now. I ran version 1 and had zero issues. I ran seamlessly and just worked. This new version has a UI that I am not a fan of, feels sluggish and clunky to me, and stopped responding after opening it the first time to tweak the settings. On the plus side you can now set exclusions for the web protection by domain name and IP number. This is probably the only thing that I found missing in v1. So, my review is a 3 star rating for the time being. If things improve so shall my rating. If I didn't have good prior experience with v1 of the software then I'd give it a worse rating. If things don't improve I'll be binning the software altogether.

While this program does its job its not very thorough/good. It misses a lot of infectious type toolbars, plugins and general spyware that should have found. I have found that there seems to be an issue with the scanning service on the Pro version but I can't find a rhyme or reason as to why it crashes a computer. Performing a manual scan won't produce the same results.

I don't use it because its too slow and misses too many things.
I gave it a two because the free version is stable.

MBAM is 1 of the best programs to use after you are already infected. The bad news is, many infections go straight for MBAM and block it. Sometimes renaming the EXE file something else can make it work. Always install MBAM in a custom folder, which can sometimes prevent malware from finding and blocking it. 1 point off for using a Windows service, even though you choose not to run it as a real time scanner. It really should have a portable option so you can run it from a USB flash drive. Also, why does MBAM not allow VirusTotal to use it in their group of scanners? Despite these problems, MBAM is still 1 of the best.

I had problems with the auto-update cycling over & over, this was quickly sorted by a full uninstall, & removing all registry entries and all folders & a reinstall.

This is by far the best anti-malware program there is. With the full program & a decent AV such as Eset ot Webroot SmartSecurity your pretty well covered. The full version can be got for in the UK £12 - Worth each & every penny.

@HeilNizar - 'All These AV's etc '- Garbage, my total start-up memory use is a shade over 700 meg. Mbam in real-time uses 5,140 k & Webroot SmartSecurity 4,472 k - Hardly a huge amount? 10 Meg or so for all my security.

Use AutoRuns & you can sort out what you want to start.

1.60.0.1800 is giving me problems (BSOD) on some of my computers ... not sure why ... so keep the previous copy handy when you update ... doesn't always happen ... just when I do certain unusual things like try to view contents of shared folders ... already changed contents and deleted them and re-set them up as new but get the same results otherwise great product ... especially like ip protection.

Good idea to keep all your sales/purchase receipts in a easily accessible place because problems happen and you can't rely on vendor to have good records. Once I made a sizable deposit with telephone service and when it was time for me to have it returned they said they had no record of it so I had to find my receipt otherwise more money in their pockets ... beware buyer cause hungry wolves are out there trying to get your last dollar from before birth till after death.

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.51 has been released!
Some highlights of the new release include:
A 14-day trial of the PRO version is now available. When the program first starts, click Start Trial to see for yourself. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware PRO protects your system in realtime, smoothly and efficiently with the full power of Malwarebytes technology. Our free scanner is great, we hope you'll agree, but it does not protect you in realtime. If you've had to use our free version one too many times to clean up after a bad infection, please consider giving our PRO version a try.
The Protection Module (PRO only) now notifies you when a new program update is available, so you can schedule updates and forget about it -- let Malwarebytes protect you behind the scenes. Just choose "Notify me when a program update is ready for installation" in the Settings > Updater Settings tab.
All program settings in HKCU can now be set in HKLM, for our corporate users and system administrators who would like to deploy machine-wide and system-wide settings.
The Scheduler (PRO only) now has an Edit button so you can edit existing scheduled scans and updates.
The Updater has been rewritten to be more streamlined, efficient, and robust.
The Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Protection Module (PRO only) is now lighter-weight than ever. An issue in 1.50.1 with high I/O read bytes has been addressed.

6 Months ago I got the windows security 2010 virus that warns repeatedly about your computer being infected and being attacked by various programs. This was obviously bogus since when I unplugged my Cat5 cable, it would still tell me that I was being attacked. I went on-line with another computer and searched for the text that I was receiving. I found Mawarebytes' free Anti-Malware program. I downloaded and put it on a memory stick. I started the infected computer in safe mode. Restored to a previous time, and then installed the Ant-Malware program to eliminate the infected files.
This time, a similar message occured. I downloaded the latest free version of Anti-Malware. Previously, I had also Resored Windows to a previous time. This time that did not work. The only previous time was the time I became infected. I am assuming that is an "enhancement" with the new virus. When I restarted Windows, I came up in Safe mode with networking. This seemed important because when I installed Anti-Malware it needed to update it's data base. The first time I didn't come up with Networking and it didn't eliminate the virus. Anyway, after installing anti-malware and running the smaller scan, it found a number (about 16) infected files. I had anti-malware remove them. Everything has been fine since.

amazing program, after my version of AVG expired i downloaded a trial version of mcafee to replace it. minutes later mcafee claimed there were over 3,000 infections on my computer. after deleting mcafee i (foolishly) wandered around the interwebs for a month or two w/o malware protection. one day i turned on my computer to a slew of infection messages from vista. i opened internet explorer (i normally use firefox, but at this particular point firefox was being blocked by my computer as an "infected program") to see if i could download something to get rid of it, but it would only take me to a microsoft warning site telling me that i had to download their extremely expensive anti-malware program.
I called my uncle who works as a contractor manually removing malware and other programs from corporate and personal computers, and he told me to get a copy of malwarebytes. so i got borrowed my brother's computer and downloaded malwarebytes onto a flash drive. i installed it on my computer and told it to start running the quick scan, then an infection message popped up for malwarebytes and was immediately closed as malwarebytes found all of the viruses (6 of them) and disabled them until the scan was complete and i told it to remove them. since then i have used it to remove various problems from not only my brother's computer (mcafee protected) but also from several of the computers at work and two of my friends' computers.

while malwarebytes may not have real-time malware protection, i still prefer it to other anti-malware programs.
in my opinion, malwarebytes is the ninja of the anti-malware world. keep up the good work, malwarebytes!

This is the best anti-malware program you've never heard of. For detection It might well be the best, period. MWB is fast, simple, updated constantly and has detection rates that are at least as good as the best paid solutions. It has two minor shortcomings: first, it seems to have no repair capability at all. That's a sad trend that seems to be overtaking the entire A/V software business. The other is a lack of control over when MWB auto-updates - also becoming more common in security programs. If you can overlook these limitations you'll find a bulldog of an antivirus/antispyware program that runs smoother and finds more intrusions that anything I've seen for a long time.

I think they should steal Malwarebyes virus definitions again as they know what to do with them.

This software is an excellent example of how an antimalware software should work! Two months ago I had some nasty infection on my laptop and I tried 7 - 8 different antimalware applications (all with high review scores) and even some tips&tricks found on internet, but they couldn't detect it. When I was just about to format and reinstall OS, I decided to try this one - and that was it! Infection was finally detected and removed!
I have only one (for me, big) negative remark about this software - missing support for proxy with authorization (therefore, no updates). I really don't understand why is it so hard to add username and password field for a proxy. Such feature is implemented in many other, much simpler applications by default. Since this application relies on updates, and to update you need an internet connection, I believe that this problem shouldn't be overlooked.

A very very good product indeed. I'm buying the autoupdate and scheduled scans and real-time protection today!
It detects most of the worst malwares out there. Obviously, not everything gets caught by it, but there's no 100% effective antimalware. To me, the most important thing about an antimalware product is that it catches the really bad malware. Cookies or other silly things that i.e. Ad-Aware or Spybot detect are plain useless when a real infection comes along.

This turd doesn't notice it one bit. Nor does it notice most of the NirSoft utilities that can be used to grab passwords, intercept network traffic, and so on. (Don't try telling me that it should NOT detect those things--if someone tries downloading/running one of those things on my computer, I WANT an "anti-malware" application to be able to catch it.)

If I could give this 5 Star application 10 Stars, I would. It cleans Viruses and Trojans off computers that other applications will not, and does it easily and well.

My wife clicked on a file from Facebook that claimed to update a viewer necessary to see a video. The result -- a virus that sent out emails to all her friends to see the video, loads of popup advertisements on her desktop, and a hijacked browser, that went to advertising sites rather than to the security sites requested.

I checked "Startup" applications and removed two that should not have been there. I then used Spybot S & D to try and clean the computer. 4 files and registry items were cleared. The popups stopped, but the browser still was hijacked. I then downloaded and ran Malwarebytes Anti-Malware which found 25 files and registry items, and it cleaned them all. Everything was back the way it was before. The computer has now been running for a couple of weeks with no problems.

Thank you, Malwarebytes.

By the way, Malwarebytes is shareware, but the trial version will work at no cost. And if it does work, you may wish to say "Thank You' to the author by a purchase.

Good removal tool for AntiSpyware 2009, if you are stupid enough to install it, other than that it has poor detection rate. My system had several trojan infections and Malwarebytes only removed one of them. However Avast saved my system and removed the worst 11 of them except 5 infections, and F-Secure's online scanner got two of them and Spybot removed the other 3. I'm a continual computer builder and the one everyone else brings there computer to for fixing. My niece came home from school with her computer loaded with malware. I've never seen one so bad. I tried Spysweeper (that I paid for and used to swear by) and it didn't do much. Adaware and Spybot, nothing. A computer tech where I work recommended trying MalwareByte's anti-malware and it's my new favorite. Took a while to scan, but much faster than reinstalling her operating system. And found/cleaned everything in one shot with no problem. I know nothing usually finds/fixes everything, but the "name brand" products I tried didn't even come close.
I don't usually join forums, I'm not a "beta tester", and though I know as much or more about computers than half the techs at the University I work at I don't consider myself a professional in the computer industry. But had to join this forum to give this product a good review. Hopefully they'll keep up the good work better than Spysweeper did. If so, I will seriously consider getting the payed for version and taking Spysweeper off my box.

OK. I was somewhat skeptical of this program when I first downloaded it because of the problems I was having. I kept getting all these pop ups even though I was using FireFox and had installed Ad-Block Plus. The pop ups wouldn't stop even after I scanned my whole system with symantec AV, SpyBot S&D, Ad-Aware and Windows Defender. Everything came back clean even though the problems persisted.

So I decided to contact Microsoft and the lady gave me a link to Malwarebytes saying that might help solve the problem. I was thinking to myself "I've never heard of this program and I used Spybot, Ad-Aware, and Windows Defender and everything came back clean. This no-name program won't do me any good BUT I guess it won't hurt". I downloaded the program and scanned my entire laptop and tada, it found 28 problems that were missed by these three "top" anti-spyware programs. I had the Vundo trojan (a bunch) and some other bug and that was what caused all the problems.

So all in all, I can't give this program anything less than a 5 and I am deciding whether or not I should upgrade for the paid version. When a program is able to find problems that was missed by three leading programs, you can't say it's not effective.

BY FAR THE BEST ANTI-MALWARE/SPYWARE PROGRAM OUT THERE.

I guess I've been living under a rock since my days of getting spyware and viruses. Back then we'd have Spybot and Ad-Aware and even then we'd have to have something like AVG to make sure we're clean.

Things have changed. Spybot is old and rusty, and Ad-Aware of broken and bloated. Viruses and spyware are mutating into malware and the what we need now are malware scanners.

After just lightly testing this scanner (along with NIS 2009) on a virtual machine, I'm starting to appreciate how powerful MBAM is. It's this generations Spybot or Adaware. It did a great job of sweeping up what NIS missed during its cleaning process and deleted the infections without a hitch.

Never have I felt compelled to 'defend' or review any product as I am doing today. I am in no way an experienced IT nor do I have ANY technical experience with computers, but I have been using corporate computers since 1976 and owning and using several personal ones since the early 90's and have learned the hard way how important it is to have security protection installed and running, and installing manual security programs to run, because as has been said here, no one program seems to do it all. Several members of my family have their own computers and they come to me when they have a problem. Not because I'm a technician but because I do try to stay up to date with the latest, best security programs and can usually help them identify and install free security apps to "cure" their problems. NOW .. to the point ... My husband's computer had been running very badly for the last few days even though he has 3 resident security programs installed and running (Ad-Aware, SpyBot S&D, and Avast). After a little research I found some info. stating possibly a problem with having an old version of the JAVA app so I updated JAVA, but of course, that in itself did not "cure" the problem. So then I went online looking for reviews of the latest, greatest FREE security programs and found many recommending Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. When the editors of such tech sites as CNet, PC World, and many 'tech forums' recommend a product, I tend to listen and trust such advice since, as I stated, I personally have no technical experience. Very long story coming to a close .... I installed and ran Malwarebytes' Anti-malware and IT WORKED! It found 6 issues and fixed them. That computer now works as fast as the day it was born. I don't understand the bad reviews on this forum. As a non-technical person, I HIGHLY recommend MALWAREBYTES' ANTI-MALWARE to ALL others, especially non-techies, who want to keep their machines pure and running at top speed. And to MBAM, THANK YOU for this wonderfully EASY TO USE and EXCELLENT program and for also providing a FREE version!!! I truly hope this post will sway someone who may be 'sitting on the fence' to go ahead and install and use this beautiful security software! Today, because of the wonderful results it achieved, I am purchasing the RESIDENT version. The cost is minimal and MALWAREBYTES' ANTI-MALWARE has PROVEN to me it is worth it !

This dropper installed several softwares, like antimalware09, rapid antivirus, another antivirus, two rootkits, some other dropper. All done on a virtual machine so no cows were harmed during these tests... anyhow, I installed Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and let it run thru the whole computer. 37 infections found, all of them deleted! I must admit that I am very impressed. Paid or free versions have the same removal capabilities. Only the paid version has a tray icon.

Vundo is a mutating trojan and no program will always remove it. The newest version of Vundo must be added to the definitions first. MBAM is always on the cutting edge of removal and often updates several times a day. All issues with BSOD will be corrected for the small percent of machines affected in the next three weeks max.

We just keep getting better and we don't have to bad mouth another program to do that.

ninjeratu

ninjeratu reviewed v1.21 on Jul 19, 2008

Reviewing the free version here, of course.

It's one of the better tools for finding trojans like Vundo (mentioned below), but the quarantine and removal is, at best, terrible. Sometimes it actually tells you it removed something - when in reality it failed and the infection is still there. Most Vundo infections are good examples of this program's fundamental issues. This is not acceptable.

Want to find stuff quickly? Use this and SUPERAntiSpyware.
Want to be able to actually remove what you find, use HiJackThis.

And, unfortunately, both Spybot and Ad-Aware are competely useless when it comes to serious malware/adware.

As of now, i have mixed emotions about this program (v1.20). Finding and removing malware like Trojan.Vundo is quite good, if i had to rate just that it would be a 4-5, but when it comes to the "Protection Module", the rating drops to a clear 1, and that's since v1.10 when i started testing it. I did NOT experience a BSOD yet but several error messages that caused the module to crash, and that was only caused due to loading some portable apps i use, and/or messing with the settings a little bit, which is unacceptable. Also the load times of several programs are inappropriate when you are using the protection module. I've read several threats in their forums and the developers keep saying "developing takes time" and such, but after testing 10 new versions with no real improvement, i start losing my faith. For now, not recommended to spend your money on this, unless u have enough of it and don't care. Otherwise, you better stay away from purchasing it, because it's just the same as throwing your cash out of the window, sorry.

@Undesired Username: If you do experience a BSOD, just send your minidump file to their support.
They are very responsive to possible problems and a fix will follow shortly after.
A previous version produced a BSOD when performing a scan, which was fixed pretty quick when it was reported.
As for the icon it does show when you're using the paid version. (= realtime protection & automatic updates)
I'm not saying it's a perfect program, but they're doing their best. Also most spyware warriors are recommending it today, instead of the previous AVG AS, which does tell us something about the quality of this software.
Problems can always arise with protection software, but I applaud them for their swift response to those concerns.
I say well done & keep up this excellent work. :-)

As for knowing what the cause of my machine "biting the dust" is, well it's pretty clear, since it happened (1) The instant I performed an action with the program, and (2) the name of the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware driver was listed right in the BSOD text!

I won't speak towards the fights below- I will offer my direct experience with this tool.

I finally got tagged by one of the java trojans this week. Random slowness & attempts to open various ips in the 85. range meant to be adverts of some sort. One of the Vundo varients.

Was unable to clean with ad-aware, which did not find a thing or spybot, which found parts of it, but was unable to clean it. Nod32 3.0 never alerted. Manual instructions for cleaning were mostly accurate, but not overall helpfull.

MBAM found it, and a second that hadn't even been hinted at prior to it's scan. Cleaned everything with two reboots.

In short- it found & cleaned, for free.

May not be perfect, but it worked for me...

Exactly what thejaffe said.

Scanning is a tad slow, detection is average, but removal is well above average. It detects and removes some very nasty (I assume) Smitfraud variants that hide and morph. 1 point off because the better freeware scanners have resident protection. MBAM's best use is to disinfect after the fact, and shouldn't be relied on as primary protection.

I am a frequent visitor here, never felt compelled to write a review until now. Oddly, I had never used this product until last week, and not really knew much of it. But I used the free version after MANY hours of fighting with a machine I was repairing. I own a computer service and have 1000+ clients, am no way a newbie/weekend warrior. This machine was filthy and infected; and kept re-infecting at a ridiculously insane rate. I had run full scans with avast home, spybot, and several rootkit removers, and they mostly identified and did their "trys" at removal. After many rounds of this; I Googled the specific infection that was causing me A LOT of stress, and in some forum, this product was suggested. I installed, ran and it not only found the demon I was fighting; but a few more the others had missed. 1 reboot later and some small cleanup; and all was finally well. So I have to rate this a 5 because it did so well. Also to offset some harsh criticism as "worthless". Maybe it's not going to cure world hunger or AIDS, but it worked perfectly well for me, and was FREE, so to say it has no value is unfair. Some people get a bit crazy and bent about authors wanting to profit from their labours, and maybe even authors go to far trying to profit (based on comments here). But if they spend a great deal of time developing something; why begrudge them the ability to make a buck or two? They still offer a free version, of which saved me from smashing things and generally going nuts.

Like I stated, I am a professional and skilled repair tech, and even I need tools to help sometimes. Especially with things I don't see every day and has variants that replicate and hide. This tool helped me weed out a nasty one.

This review only applies to the free version, I have no experience with the pay version. I plan on adding this to my toolkit, and recommend it to anyone to try. Free is free. If you don't like it, or it's not for you, no harm done right?

Just to put him clear, I also received the email from the author hitting out at this website for bad feedback and requesting beta testers to leave positive ones.
Unlike him, I can only leave feedback based on facts - Superantispyware and Spybot are vastly superior to this offering and I am absolutely certain that there will be paid software which is also superior.
I shall shortly reproduce the authors email here, confirming the above.
In addition, there is not a doubt in my mind that the author continues to try and manipulate this forum ( and probably others ).
In my earlier post, I suggested that potential users try this and compare it to the others suggested above and then make up their own minds. This surely, is a fair and just comment. Just what is the author so scared of ? Why did he request others to leave positive ratings ? Could it be that he desperately wants our money for an inferior product ? Why are comments left giving great ratings when I and many others think they are unjustified. Make up your own minds - don't let me or others influence you.

I was a beta tester for this program and defended it vigorously thro the beta stages.
It does work but only to a limited extent compared to some other similar programs. After the beta testing was over it was then necessary to pay for the program and frankly, there is no way I would pay for this.
Both the freeware and professional editions of Superantispyware are vastly superior as is Spybot freeware.
As I said earlier, I have defended this program thro its beta testing stages but, as others have indicated, they are sceptical about where some of the comments left here have come from. I now have to admit that I too feel that the comments are being manipulated either by the author or his friends. The program is most definately not as good as some of the comments would indicate.
My impartial advice would be to go for one of the free spyware removal programs I mentioned earlier.
If you must try this program, then run it first then run the others afterwards. I think you will find that the detection rate is far lower than the others.

joe53

When I beta-test a scanner, I ask myself the following questions:

1) Does it come from a respected source?
2) Does it have a good user-to-user support forum?
3) Is the author personally involved in trouble-shooting on this forum?
4) Is the GUI intuitive/user-friendly?
5) Is it easy to install/uninstall?
6) Do all my other resident defenses continue to perform well?
7) Does my PC/browser performance remain unaffected?
8) Is (manual) updating trouble-free? (No automatic updates for beta-ware for me!)
9) Does the scanner remove (not merely detect) infections?
10) Is there a quarantine/restore option (in case of false positive detections)?
11) Are false positive detections infrequent?
12) Are deletions of FPs benign?

Having beta-tested MBAM from the beginning, I can state that the answer to all the above is a definitive "yes". The only glitch I encountered was that Comodo Firewall Pro 3 would generate benign 0 byte files during an MBAM scan that subsequent scans detected. Deactivating CFP Advanced+ (HIPS) prior to scanning prevented this.

Disclaimer: Apart from beta-testing, I have no association with the author of this product.

However, I have downloaded the last few releases of Malwarebites and used them. There is absolutely no justification for others to state that it is spyware or any other type of "negative ware". My installation and use has not brought about viruses or spyware appearing because of it.
As for the program itself, it runs quickly, even on the deep check and if there is anything found, it notifies you of this.

Installation is fast and smooth.

The GUI is nicely organized by easy to read tabs. Numerous settings are available for the user to browser through. For example, the user can decide whether they want a context menu item from MBAM.

As for the actual scan, lightning fast. Marcin has said that he'll continue improving the scan speed. The only con I can think of regarding the scanner is that it does hog some resources, although this seems to have improved from past versions.

One would think that the scan isn't very thorough since its fast, but MBAM is already taking down stubborn malware. I'm confident that its database will catch up to other top notch antimalware applications, especially since nosirrah, a respected malware hunter, is building up the database.

The real-time protection is still being implemented. It looks promising, however, with a MBAM system service in the works.

Scheduling will be allowed in the pro version. I think the limitations are fair, similar to those of the popular SUPERAntiSpyware.

In addition to the basic scanning, removing, prevention aspects of MBAM, the program also has FileASSASSIN included, which allows removal of tough to remove files. From the looks of it, additional tools like fixes to common problems (like broken system restore, fixing broken LSPs) will be included. Sometime in the future, the list of targeted malware will be included, according to nosirrah, but since MBAM is just beginning to build up its database, removal is more important- a logical conclusion.

Overall, this is a promising product. Watch out for a final release before the end of the year. Its fast scan times promote frequent scans and its database is sure to be strong later on. False positives may appear in the beta stage, but the time MBAM is released, false positives probably won't be very frequent.

At Wilders, MBAM's proponent described MBAM as follows (quoted in part):

"MBAM uses a lot better, and safer, heuristics scanning. ...It is not an AntiVirus, it is an AntiMalware program...."

Security programs can be VERY hard to uninstall. If you aren't an experienced beta tester, I'd say leave it alone for now. If you do decide to test it, I recommend you install it to a separate image or VM.
