In case you're wondering why they updated this old, old utility, this is straight from the ReadMe:

The previous version of UPHClean did not call the system executable using
quotes. This could in some scenarios allow a local user to elevate privileges.
This issue has now been addressed in the current version.

The stated function of this piece of software (as per its home page) seems to suit my needs, but after having it installed on my system for some time I find it hard to judge whether or not it's doing what it's supposed to do. Logging off seems to take just as long as it did before, although it may be that under the hood it's happening in a more controlled way.
