One of the best open source software applications for digital painting. I seem to be able to finish a lot of work with this program, have my web site art gallery filling up with finished digital image paintings created with this software.

I simply love the brushe quality in MyPaint!
I tried Krita, which is great, Painter and many others, but for some reason the feeling in MyPaint is better, perhaps it's a matter of style..
The pencils are so realistic, even with my simple Wacom Bamboo.
Hope the dev will keep working on this app, for a (long) moment I thought they were going to abandon it, I'm glad to see it is alive and it keeps rocking!
The new GUI and the new features introduced in this release take MyPaint to another level, again great job!
P.S. The screen shot needs an update!

Pros: Good useful brushes for painting and not too complicated to use effectively.. Stand alone and portable capabilities with this software, will work installed on a thumb drive, these options allow more freedom and choice for creating artwork.
Too many proprietary graphic arts painting programs lock you down to use on only one computer limiting your freedom to move around. Program works as stand alone or installed package on just about every flavor of Linux along with Windows. I believe it will also work with Mac yet I have no experience with such.
Cons: The worst thing I can think about this excellent software is that you have no editing capabilities with this program. That is of minor concern since you can easily create a file in MyPaint's native format ora (along with jpg or png) and complete editing tasks in The GIMP software.
Bottom Line: One of the best open source software applications for digital painting. I seem to be able to finish a lot of work with this program, have my web site art gallery filling up with finished digital image paintings created with this software.
