Publisher's Description

PacketTrap pt360 Tool Suite features a unique differentiated centralized dashboard and includes network reporting, diagnostic and monitoring from a single intuitive interface. The FREE solution supports open source tools (i.e. Nagios, MRTG, Cacti), virtual servers, and SaaS (Salesforce.com), and includes essential network diagnostics tools such as Cisco Config, Syslog Server, TFTP Server, SNMP scan, WMI scan, Ping Scan, Trace Route, Port Scan, and DNS Audit. Its dataflow capabilities automatically pass information between tools so network engineers can pinpoint network problems faster and easier than using dissimilar point tools.

Policy should be to ban companies that mis-represent the license of their product to get more downloads

This is a misleading entry. It's not completely freeware - it's mostly trialware and only partly freeware.

You're actually getting the "Free Edition" of the PacketTrap pt360 Tool Suite. And that means you are really only getting a 21 day trial for the "Pro Edition".

After 21 days, the trial ends and you can only use the free features:

- Enhanced Ping
- Graphical Ping
- Ping Scan
- TFTP Server
- Trace Route
- WHOIS

And you can already download any of those freely and individually from here (at the bottom of the page):

http://www.packettrap.com/download/index.aspx

You can see the full comparison of the editions here:

http://www.packettrap.co...360_feature_matrix.aspx

Which shows just how much will not work after the 21 days.

Why mislead? Could it be because the Pro version costs $795 and this package is really just an advertisement for that?

So points off for the misleading and a low score because the components that are truly free in this package aren't much of a big deal either.
