It works well most of the time and is better than the alternatives, as Real Player hardly works above very light, basic content, and Windows Media is extremely restricted on Mac OS X.

The fact that Apple finally got its act together and cleaned up more than a dozen security issues makes it all the better.

Highly disappointing and not worth the upgrade. All version 7 does is prevent you from saving files unless you pay Apple more money. Just like anything that Apple does, you're paying through the nose for a slick interface, but consistently poor performance.

I notice this has only got a score of 2.9. As a relative Mac newbie I havene;t had a problem with it, but I would be interested to know if anyone can recommend any alternatives?

When will these companies learn not to turn everyone off by bloating the h*ll out of their software and shoving everything they produce down our throats in one big "open WIDE..."? Let us plug in options as we need them or something. Man, this is a product out of control.

Ummmm well .. lets just say that its a good start to something that might have potential in the future ... try again Apple .. maybe Version 8 will be better

"I think realone more better than this."

Jeez, this must be *very* bad then *chuckle*

Three words... Media Player Classic, and two add-ons, Real Alternative & Quicktime Alternative.... play them all in one bloat-free ultra-configurable interface. Simple.
