Publisher's Description

Smarty Uninstaller is a software that allows you to completely uninstall programs installed on your system. It monitors the built-in application uninstaller and uses an advanced scan engine that deletes any program leftovers. It allows you to launch the scan engine manually at any time to force uninstall a program with broken uninstaller.

Featuring an intuitive and modern interface, Smarty Uninstaller displays in the main window all installed software, broken installations, system components and Windows updates. The grouping feature allows you to organize applications into logical groups and view grouped programs in separate tabs. You can add comments to installed applications which will be displayed on the main window when an application is selected.

no better than RevoUninstaller

I previously used RevoUninstaller. Smarty ups the ante a bit detecting recently installed apps and "possibly broken installations", it will also finish incomplete uninstalls.
My only real criticism is its fairly slow and long routine when it starts.

No big deal that it calls the programs uninstaller and runs it!

I let it detect all the rubbish left behind - folders, shortcuts and registry entries and let it clean out the lot. So far (!) it hasn't broken anything - and I've used it a lot over 5 or 6 months - so i'd say it is very safe and reliable - whether it (or Revo for that matter - actually cleans everything out - I'm not about to go hunting through the registry!

Hard to get too excited about this program - mainly because it does what it is supposed to do without too much fuss. An added benefit (which they don't tell you about) is that it comes bundled with a very good and simple process inspector, a secure deletion tool, and a startup manager.
Runs flawlessly on Win7 too.

sflorack is right. Same problem with programs from the same developer.

Doesn't monitor programs during installation, it just preforms a disk/registry scan upon uninstall. It inadvertently removed good registry keys and caused a few programs to not function properly. (ie removed Google Toolbar for IE, and it removed registry keys for Google Earth.)

I'd recommend running the uninstaller for the program you're trying to remove, and then purchasing a good registry cleaner to handle the rest.

This is an excellent piece of software, not as good as your uninstaller, but still does manage to do things quite efficiently with a better interface!

It does what it says, but they should let us edit the removal list -- add / remove / etc.

Overall, highly recomended. Ill give it a 5.

i almost give 5, but i prefer 4 because the only thing that needs improvement here is the setup routine (with some installer you need to click one button to start the cleaning, wich should be automatic). but overall, the best uninstaller out there. i love the feature to search for shortcuts and delete them (many of us dont leave the original ones in its place). some times it takes longer to finish the clean up process although i had looked into folders and the files are already deleted, so i dont now why randomly it takes more time to finish cleanup.

it is really faster than your installer and advanced uninstaller.
It is new but rising rapidly.
if you need an uninstaller you should get this believe me.
