Star Downloader is a download manager that accelerates your downloads by splitting the files into several parts and downloading them simultaneously. Download speeds are increased further by choosing the fastest mirror sites. You may automatically resume broken downloads if your connection is lost or if your computer accidentally shuts down. With the scheduler, you can download files at certain times of the day. It may also automatically connect to your ISP and hang-up upon completion of downloads.
To help you organize and manage your downloads there is an advanced category system and an integrated unzipping utility can automatically unzip and install downloaded files. Star Downloader also integrates with your antivirus program to automatically scan files upon completion of the download. It supports FTP and HTTP. Proxy is also supported. The clean and simple interface and the multilingual support for over 50 languages makes it easy for everyone to use.

I used Star Downloader for several months. It did a good job downloading files, but its limitations were irritating. File download reordering is difficult to impossible and it lacks some important options. But it is efficient.
Finally the irritants in Star convinced me to try some other download managers. I ended up with the terrific ReGet Deluxe, a complicated but highly adjustable downloader.

The biggest reason to love this program is its simplicity and the fact that it silently downloads in the background and does not require confirmation for every single download, such as GetRight and others do.
John, check your Options > Download List checkboxes. That will cure your problems. Also, go to Options > Dialogs, and uncheck the "Save As dialog" checkbox. Voila, StarDownloader now works the way you want.

Stare Down loader would be a great program if it did the following.
1. dose not start download until told to.
2. when deleting a download the downloaded file is not removed form the folder the download is stored in, therefore you have to delete the file from star download and then go to the folder to delete it their.

Star Downloader Pro is the easiest, simplest, and fastest of the download managers. Easy to configure, it just works and works and works.
